English (40 item, 30-minute) test measures conventions of standard written English and of rhetorical skills
Mathematics (30-item, 30 minute) test emphasizes solving practical quantitative problems
Reading (30-item, 30 minute) test measures reading comprehension as a product of referring and reasoning skills
Science (28-item, 30 minute) test measures scientific reasoning skills
PLAN Overview
English (50-item, 30 minute) test measures conventions of standard written English and of rhetorical skills
Mathematics (40-item, 40 minute) test emphasizes solving practical quantitative problems
Reading (25-item. 20 minute) test measures reading comprehension as a product of referring and reasoning skills
