Univdrsity

Languages
and
International
Studies
-
vietnam
National
University,
Hanoi (ILIS-\INU)
currently
applies
a credit
system
for
its undergraduate
programs
having
been
implemented
since
2010,
which
is
under
Regulation
No.
3079
issued
by
President
of
Vietnam
National
University
Hanoi
on
26/10/2010.
The
Academic
Affairs
Department
provides
an
explanation
about
the
education
system
at
ULIS-VNU
as
follows:
1.
About
Academic
Programs
and
Degrees:
A regular,
full-time
undergraduate
student
at
ULIS-VNU
is
required
to take
a
4-year
(g-
semester)
training
program
in
order
to finish
hislher
study.
Upon
successful
completion
of
all
required
courses
and
a
graduation
thesis,
he/she
will
be
awarded
a Bachelor
Degree
of
histrer
own
ma.jor.
2.
About
the
Grading
System:
The
final
grade
for
each
course
is
based
on a lO-point
scale
and
is rounded
up or
down
to
the
nearest
one
decimal
number
and
then
converted
into
letter
grade.
The
grade
in
letter
will
then
be
converted
into
a
numeric
grade
in
order
to calculate
is/her
GpA.

Courses
are
measured
in
credits.
One
credit
is
equal
to
15
credit hours
