Dear Colleague,

Welcome to the 12th International Obesity Surgery Expert Meeting to be held in Salzburg, Austria from 9th to 11th March 2014.

In line with the tradition of the Expert Meeting we will continue to focus on the newly growing discipline of metabolic surgery, endoluminal and mini invasive approaches as well as the concept of team management. We will develop a scientific program of the highest level covering global perspectives of this ever-evolving discipline that attends to our modern world epidemic that Obesity and Metabolic Disorders have come to represent.

Leading experts will build the frame work of this conference. By learning from our experience, we will place major emphasis on the availability of sufficient discussion times during scientific sessions.
