ERP Case Study: Live Data Migration

A growing number of this Fortune 100’s customers are SAP based (rather than Oracle). The organization is working to deliver SAP solutions on a fully virtualized private cloud and asked Experis IT’s ERP team to assist in providing a SAP SME to create a solution that would allow the LIVE migration of data from SAP to other platforms.

Experis IT: •Enabled the ability for VMware running on SAP ECC 6.0 and Oracle 10g dataset to communicate from one physical host to another without any SAP or database downtime. At the time of the move, there was a client copy running which was not interrupted by the migration. The client copy continued to run and finish on the new physical host. •Moved SAP and the database away from the original host, allowing the original host to be available for subsequent maintenance activity. •SAP and the database were migrated back to “LIVE” following the maintenance activity.

OMS Case Study: VOIP

A large call center organization has large campus environments that are a combination of manufacturing and offices spaces. One location had 6000+ phones being converted to VoIP; another had 800. The client wanted a managed solution partner to perform the work in a highly compressed timeframe.
