1925 - The mechanical workshops servicing the gas wells are joined under the name of Sonametan Medias.1948 - The company changes its name into Partizanii Pacii.1958 - The company changes its name into Central Workshops for Natural Gas.1969 - The company ibecomes part of the Central Office for Natural Gas Medias under the name of Mechanical Plant for Natural Gas. 1970 - As a result of the most devastating flood in Medias’ history, the company’s archive is almost entirely lost and priceless historical documents cannot be recovered.1978 - The new headquarter on Aurel Vlaicu Street is topped out, taking over the administrative activities and most of the manufacturing.1983 - The company receives corporate body, becoming the Mechanical Enterprise for Natural Gas and continues to be subordinated to the Central Office for Natural Gas Medias and to the Gas and Oil Ministry

1991 - The enterprise becomes the joint-stock company Armax Gaz, registered at the Register of Commerce with the number J32/127/1991.2000 - Becoming a private company, the majority stake is acquired by Mr. Mircea Vescan. The company starts an extensive process of modernization, by massive investments in the procurement of equipment and area rebuilding to face technological and personnel’s needs. The declared purpose of the new strategy is to regain the leadership on the Romanian market for gas and oil equipment and to enter on foreign markets, as well.2001 - Implementation of the ISO 9001 - Quality Certification System takes place. 2004 - The products portfolio is diversified by introducing a new product: Gas Dehydration Stations. Armax Gaz is the first Romanian company and among the few in the world that offers such products. In this same period the company implements the concept of turn-key projects that involves all of the fallowing operations: design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and maintenance.

2007 - Assets are increased due to an important acquisition, a domain that exceeds 20000 square meters having the aim of developing the production sector with industrial workshops. The domain is in the immediate neighborhood of our company’s headquarters, in Meias. Within this period two capital expansions are made, creating the premises of investments that give our company the opportunity to fulfill technical requirements imposed by the European Union and USA, as well. Armax Gaz controls now over 80 % of SC GazProiect SA, a company that designs gas and oil equipment, situated in Brasov. GazProiect is a well-known company, with tradition in Romania. 2008 - By building a complete new workshop equipped with the latest technical endowment, Armax Gaz doubles its manufacturing capacity.2010 - As the company’s importance on the stock exchange market and as part of the national economy continuously grew, Armax Gaz establishes a Marketing and Communication Department at the Bucharest Agency. In a crises year, the company not only keeps its employees but also hires new people.2013 - We extended the production facility with another completly new workshop of more than 3400 sqm, built with European funds.

History

The prospecting activities in 1909 performed in the region of Sarmasel –Mures county for discovering of potassium salt, lead to the first natural gas eruption. Beginning with 1917 gas is used for public lighting and Turda is the second European city that applies this facility. Establishing an industry branch that offers products and services, answering promptly and efficient to the needs of extraction, processing, transmission and distribution is imminent. Given this context, the workshops for assuring those needs are founded in Medias, establishing the base of our future company that is now called Armax Gaz.

The horizontal gas separator is used in gas processing plants, to separate impurities entrained with the natural gas produced in wells or while testing parameters during wells commissioning. The separator may also be used for liquid separation out of the natural gas fields, in extraction.
