Adarsh Vijendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AVIPS), a
constituent institution of Shobhit University is a premier institute of
pharmacy in the northern region. The institute was established in the
year 2006 by NICE society with an aim to provide quality education to
the rural populace and meet the burgeoning demand of technically
qualified personnel in various facets of Pharmaceutical sciences i.e.
manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, pharmaceutical
marketing, research & development, academia, regulatory affairs
and administration. The Institute is housed in a sprawling campus
with an imposing and most conducive atmosphere with state of the
art infrastructure and instructional facilities. The institute offers
diploma, graduate, post graduate and doctoral level programs in the
field of pharmaceutical sciences and is approved by Pharmacy
Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.
Aim & Scope of the Conference

PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES (AVIPS)
Shobhit University believes in strategic growth as envisaged in its

horizontal integration. It strives to become a world class university,
with a global perspective, that educates the future leaders of the
world. Therefore, the challenge before the University is to remain in
the forefront of cutting edge knowledge and to follow the best
international practice(s) in academics. Shobhit University, Gangoh,
Saharanpur is notified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh vide
Shobhit Vishwavidhaylaya, Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam, 2011 (U.P. Act
No.3 of 2012) passed by Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented by
the H.E. Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The University is established
u/s 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (UGC) Act, 1956.
Only 15 percent of the Indian research and development workforce
are women, while the global average is 30 percent, says National
Task Force on women in science report. But, the magnitude of gender
difference in science is quite significant in India. The picture is no
different in science and technology teaching institutions. Our
objective is to Identify current gender gaps in participation in
technology development, potential reasons behind these gaps, and
solutions to bridge them, including making research grants
conditional on recipient organizations instituting policies that work to
level the playing field for women. Policy and Strategy for
incorporating more women into technology sectors is likely to
1) increase productivity, 2) offers women a source of high-quality
jobs, and 3) may have knock on benefits for female consumers of
technology.
