HP Quality Center Integration Value-Add

Eliminate the redundancy between learning content and data quality:

• It requires significant effort to create test scripts.

• Inaccurate/outdated test scripts lead to poor tests and poor quality.

• Step-by-step learning content and step-by-step test scripts are traditionally authored and maintained separately - an unnecessary and costly redundancy.

• Poor cross-team collaboration can increase the cost of maintaining learning content and test scripts.

Test Script Output for HP Quality Center

A publication output type called “Test Script” has been added:

– The Test Script publication type publishes a single XML file (.xml extension) formatted for use in MS Excel, as well as a folder containing an image for each corresponding step listed in the MS Excel spreadsheet.

– Authors then use an MS Excel Add-in to upload the published output to HP Quality Center as a manual Test Script.

The Test Script publication type appears on the Publications tab of the template, and is disabled by default. When enabled and published locally, it appears as “Excel Spreadsheet(XML)” format.
