PRESS RELEASE LOVE STORIES LES PHOTAUMNALES 13 th EDITION 8 OCTOBER 2016 BEAUVAIS 1 JANUARY 2017 For this 13 th edition, the Photaumnales festival - organised by Diaphane, photographic centre in Picardy - is organised around the themes of invitations and exchanges. In a world of tensions, where the trend towards enclosure is increasingly widespread, we have decided to focus on openness to others, while emphasising how essential the view of the artist is in constructing a world of tolerance. Fred Boucher and Adriana Wattel, Artistic Co-Directors BEAUVAIS - QUADRILATÈRE GALLERY Invitations to: - Paul Ardenne and Barbara Polla for the exhibition LOVE STORIES, - Hong Kong International Photo Festival for an overview of photography from Hong Kong, - Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie en Gaspésie for an exchange of residencies with the Photaumnales. EXHIBITION LOVE STORIES Paul Ardenne Invited Curator and Barbara Polla, Associate Curator This 2016 edition of the Photaumnales, coming under the sign of love, aims to be generous. Just as love nourishes and exalts us, the narrative background of the various sections of “Love Stories” are both nourishing and exalting. For this occasion, photography brings together multiple amorous tales, a great diversity of “love stories”.
