Exercise On It's Own Won't Help Build Muscle Quickly - You Need A Good Muscle Gain Diet

By: http://superbodybuildingtips.wordpress.com

As great as weight training is to try to help gain muscle quickly, reducing weight and reducing fat from your body, on it's own it won't help you achieve the best results. In order to do this you need to have an effective muscle gain diet in place. A muscle gain diet is the perfect complement to your weight training exercises and will help you gain muscle quickly and to be the best you can be!

A common mistake most prospective body builders and those who aren't gaining as much muscle as they expect is to overlook their diet and getting sufficient rest. To not make the same mistakes as these people below is the ideal muscle gain diet for you to implement:

Double Your Amount Of Daily Meals

To start building upper body mass you will need to forget about the old, traditional "3 square meals a day" system you have been bought up on. For highly effective muscle gain and repair you need to be providing them with adequate nutrition throughout the day. This means you shuld be having between 5 -7 smaller meals but spread out throughout the day. This does not mean you should be consuming any old food though. An ideal muscle gain diet would be one consisting of carbohydrates, protein and a little fat.

Don't Undereat

An ideal muscle gain diet is one where you are consuming more calories than you have shed. This means lots of carbs and protein as stated earlier to keep your body nourished and aid muscle growth. Cut out all the junk food and snacks that you may have eaten in the past. We're not going to preach to you and say never eat junk food ever again but in the early days of your muscle gain diet, makes some sacrifices to allow your body to bulk up and then there's nothing wrong with having the odd "bad foods" once a month or so (you are human after all!)

Eat More Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are muscle enhancing nutrients and are ideal as part of your muscle gain diet. Your body will utilise carbohydrates for energy. Good carbs will provide your body with greater energy levels which in turn will lead to more effective workouts and gain muscle quickly.

Complex carbohydrates are the most effective as they release energy slowly. Examples of the most effective complex carbs are foods such as wholegrain bread, brown rice, wholegrain pasta, oatmeal, cereals and potatoes.

Get Loads of Protein

Protein is considered as the foundation for building upper body muscularity and is an integral part of any muscle gain diet. The function of protein in ones body is to build up and repair the microscopic muscle tears that occur when weight lifting. To ensure these tears do not occur again your body builds stronger muscles making them larger overall.

Without adequate protein you will not be able to gain muscle quickly and achieve anywhere near the level of success if you incorporate protein into your 5-7 daily meals. The best forms of protein you can eat are:

Turkey Tuna Chicken Lean red meat Eggs Cottage cheese Fish Protein shakes

Eat High Quality Fats

By quality fats we mean unsaturated fats which help build testosterone and are an asset as part of a muscle gain diet. Examples of great fat foods for your body are cod-liver oil, flaxseed oil, olive oil and peanut butter.

Exercise on it's own will not help in building body mass and to gain muscle quickly and this is the main reason why many fail and give up. However, along with the great muscle gain diet we have highlighted you cannot fail but to achieve if you keep at it for at least a few months.

As well as a good muscle gain diet you need to take supplements to be the best you can be.
