degree in public school administration with a focus on executive leadership.

The goal of the executive leadership program is to provide students with the culturally responsible leadership understandings and skills needed to develop and administer

districts that are socially just and to equitably serve all students to a high level of success while demonstrating the following:

Ethics both personally and professionally•Instructional understandings and strategies that create high performing schools for a •diverse population of studentsEthnicfinancialmanagementskills•An understanding of and the ability to use systems and organizational management •to achieve objectivesThe courage and understandings to engage in the policy and political issues that are •critical to successful change and innovationThe knowledge and experiences with research that will strengthen the ability to evaluate •information and develop studies to determine appropriate courses of action

The Record of Study is the culminating research project for the student. Work on the study will be woven into the three-year course of study and shall address some aspect of school leadership, management or instruction and have a context of addressing social justice in public education. Students

will choose from three Record of Study options:
