Objectives/Aims of ELDP and LAP

• Intervention to accelerate the development of a pool of highly skilled decision-makers at middle and senior/executive levels across all sub-sectors of the industry, whilst addressing the Employment Equity profile of the industry

• Compliments the existing training initiatives by industry by providing industry customised programmes

• Building a leadership core in the industry

• Targeting medium and smaller employers, which do not have the capacity or resources to implement such training interventions

• Contribution to Black Economic Empowerment in the industry
