    1/2

From site discussions regarding the coming work for excavation, piles, piles caps and raft work

we have come to some suggestions to facilitate those works. To get us all up to date to those

changes and have everyones input for the coming works, we have put together the attached

drawing. Please review the drawing carefully with the aid of the following points. :

    1. All piles have a number(as shown in the attached drawing), so that when we have

discussions we can mention them by name. beside each pile cap is a tag with threeelements, name of the pile cap, the pile cap type, and the originalcut of level of the piles

in that pile cap (add 7.5 cm you get the lean concrete level, add 19.5 cm (7.5+12 for lean)

you get to the excavation level). These levels are from the final design, according to our

modifications some of those levels will change.

    2.

The drawing is based on the pile cap layout we got before the final changes in the pile cap

sizes (since the new set does not have a pile cap layout coming with it). I have copied the

new piles into this drawing, I have kept the original for your reference, the correct piles

are the ones that have a tag at their center with their corresponding names (and they are

always closer to the inner side of the building, or smaller when only their sizes have

    changed).

    3. Excavation levels for the zones:

    a. Zone 1: Excavation level -23.02. (Location of pile caps C1,C2, and C5 will be

excavated from this level to their required levels. (Dear Engineer Anil. Do you

have any suggestion/objection on this issue???? If it is O.K. we will adopt it)

    b. Zone 2: Excavation Level -24.42 (corresponding to -24.225 cut off level) for al

except the core @ -28.27 (-28.075 cut off level).. The core piles will be dig from -

24.42 levels, later the areas around the piles have to be excavated to get to the -

28.27 level. The cut off level of the piles in the following pile caps will change to -

24.225 (corresponding to excavation level of -24.42)

C27,C28,C29,C30,C31,C32,C36. (Dear Engineer Anil Please update the pile caps

for those mentioned abovewe will increase the thickness of those pile caps and

    for the basement foundation also.).

    c.

Zone 3 (The water tank area): General excavation level will be at -25.42(corresponding to 25.225 cut off level of piles). Pile cap locations for C8, C13, C14,

C15, and C17 will be excavated from that level to get to the -26.02 excavation

level (corresponding to -25.825 cut off level of piles). The rest of piles that are

higher than the designated levels will be lowered to -25.42 (-25.225 level). (Dear

Engineer Anil.. can you please update those pile caps for us.).

    d. Zone 4: Excavation Level -24.42 (corresponding to -24.225 cut off level) for al

except the core @ -28.27 (-28.075 cut off level). The core piles will be dig from -

24.42 levels, later the areas around the piles have to be excavated to get to the -

28.27 level. The cut off level of the piles in the following pile caps will change to -

24.225 (corresponding to excavation level of -24.42)

C67,C22,C24,C25,C81,C71,C72. (Dear Engineer Anil Please update the pile caps

for those mentioned abovewe will increase the thickness of those pile caps and

    for the basement foundation also.).

    e. The remaining areas have generally piles at cut off level of -22.825 (excavation leve

of -23.02). we will try to excavate the pile caps for these to the -23.02 level and the

dig the pile at their exact levels (the pile machine should stand at a higher level of -

    21.7)

    4. Dear Engineer Anil:We noticed that the location and/ or shape of the following pile caps

have been affected by the changes in pile sizes. So, can you review and revise those pile

    caps and any other they find. The pile caps are (C1, C13, C15, C23, C25, C37, C41, C42,

    C45, C76, C77, C78, C79 and C80)
