From January 1 through December 31, 2017, the NBRC administered 27,948 examinations and awarded 14,137 new CRT, RRT, CPFT, RPFT, Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist, Sleep Disorders Specialist and Adult Critical Care Specialist credentials. On behalf of the Board and staff of the NBRC, we congratualte all respiratory care professionals who together achieved 14,137 new NBRC credentials in 2017. Thanks to your hard work and dedication, the total number of NBRC credentials awarded to date is 443,289....and counting. PASS RATES COMPARED On the next page are the passing percentages for NBRC credentialing examinations given January 1 through December 31, 2015, 2016, and 2017. As the pass rates reflect, the percentages of first-time candidates passing the NBRC credentialing examinations have remained relatively stable.
