Q1
Role selected: 10)
Founder of the FinTech Startup ChatBot
Solution:
The customer is proposed a customised chatbot solution for the Santander bank as following:
The chatbot will be created using Dialogflow. (as it provides a wider integration gamut as compared to the other services Chatfuel and a wider range of customisation options)
Integration will be provided on the banks regional website as well as mobile application.
An “assistant on call’ service will also be proposed using ”Dialogflow phone gateway”.
The website integration can be done by just embedding the Dialogflow agent on the concerned website. It can be done by following the below instructions.
The mobile app integration can be done using the API.Ai and following the below procedure.
A google assistant version of the chatbot will also be proposed using the available integration options on dialogflow, this will allow for easier access of the banks help centre.
The Chatbot will have a custom intentions created for every different scenario along with customised responses created in consultation with the bank. It will also have small talk enabled so as to carry out conversations with the customer in a natural and smooth manner.
The Chat bot will also have a custom knowledge based associated with it of all the banks available products in the region so that it will be able to answer any of the product related customer query.
Pricing:
*Assuming that a hosting solution is available with the bank.
Dialogflow flow Enterprise edition will be used (Essential or Plus edition depending on the size of knowledge database).
Per Request charges according to Google’s pricing applicable. (Given Below)
A per hour fee of 40$ an hour applicable. Estimated time to complete the project (including alpha and beta testing).= 150
hours. Estimated Total cost for the project 6000$.
Role 2:
Product Head:
Roles and responsibilities
Creating a Product in line with the Top Management’s Vision. Analysing the Market for the product and identifying the effective strategy. Primary driver for the product’s growth
Interactions:
The Product Head will closely work with o Design team. (Design Head)o Marketing Team. (Country head Marketing)o IT team: (Product IT Head)o Sales Team: (National Sales Head)o Finance team (CFO):
To develop a innovative and successful product and help it grow in the target market.
Recommendations:
As a Product head of Santander bank my recommendations would be as follows:
1) Create a mobile app based interface “similar to 811” for the IOB solution as mobiles have a far wider penetration in India and China as compared to PCs or laptops. Although the cost of developing a ios and android app may be higher compared to the that of developing a website, it’ll have a far wider reach giving the benefit of economies of scales.
2) Design should be created in an intuitive fashion where any action in possible in not more than 3 clicks, this is very important if the customer adaption would be higher due to this, also due to a high number of rural population in India it would give the product an edge over other clumsy applications.
3) Extensive country wide marketing campaigns to be carried out using digital marketing as a priority.
Q4) Report 1(Plastic Bank):
What is Plastic Bank?
It’s a new platform that uses blockchain technology to create a social impact and make a difference.
Plastic bank buys plastic waste from “plastic collectors” and pays them in digital tokens which can then be redeemed for paying school fees, buying groceries, paying to the doctor etc.
The Plastic that they buy is bought at a premium than the ongoing rate which helps the poor garbage collectors, this plastic is then recycled and then sold as “social plastic” for a premium. Which than an individual/corporate can buy to support their cause.
Pros.
1) Incentivizes recycling of plastic waste, which is a major environmental issue as of now.
2) Helps the poor population earn more by paying higher than market price for the plastic.
3) Creates new easy Business/Employment opportunities for the poverty ridden population.
4) Creates a functioning self-sustaining ecosystem for the poor that can be accesed by anyone in the world
Cons.
1) High Cost of implementation, with no guaranteed return in the near future.2) Long break even time.3) Difficult to get vendors like grocery store owners, Hospitals, other vendors to accept
the digital tokens as a payments.4) Difficult to get Corporates and individuals to buy the social plastic at a premium for
a longer period of time in higher quantities as it drives their cost up.
Approach to be taken for effective implementation.
A blockchain based reward system to incentivize people to:
1) A better waste management.2) Curb food wastage.3) Donate old clothes instead of throwing away4) Donate Blood.5) Maintain Cleanliness.
A tie up with an India based Technology partner is necessary to reduce the over all cost. For eg. (Gov Blocks)/(Cateina).
Incentivize the vendors to accept digital tokens for payments through subsidies or tax benefits by creating a specific “Yojna”
Supporting new social entrepreneurs who are leveraging this initiative by providing them with various benefits under schemes like “Start-up India Yojna” and more.
Report 2: ( Responsible Citizen Index).
Its an Index that essentially incentivizes good/favourable behaviour and disincentivizes bad/unfavourable behaviour by the citizen by directly affecting the prices a citizen pays for public utilities (Transport, Gas prices , Petrol/diesel prices, Traffic Fines.) based on his good or bad behaviour. The entire database is stored on blockchain to make it tamper proof.
Pros:
1) Helps in Creating a transparent system2) Provides the government with a way to control public behaviour.3) Petty crime rates can drastically drop if implemented correctly4) Makes it easier for the government to find volunteers for various campaigns such as
“ Beach Clean-ups, Blood Donation Drives etc)5) Can help reduce corruption.6) Can assist in digitizing more day to day transactions if implemented correctly and
provide actionable data with useful insights
Cons:
1) Very difficult to implement in practicality.2) Huge costs will have to born by the government to provide the said subsidies to a
responsible citizen as no direct monetary gains are being attained by the government.
3) The Transaction throughput required for implementing a blockchain of this scale is currently not possible on any public blockchain platform. (max is 50 transactions per second)
Implementation Roadmap:
1) The RPI should be rolled out as a pilot in small town or rural areas to see how efficiently it works and how easily do the less tech-savvy people accept it.
2) The RPI Blockchain should be connected to the Aadhar database to identify and easily rank citizens.
3) A mobile App interface to be developed on which a QR code is used to reflect the RPI score of a person which can be used to avail the special Score based pricing.
4) The Score based price discounts can be sponsored by many corporates on their products to drive their sales. Which can in turn be also used as a revenue channel for the government.
Q5.The outsourcing BPO and KPO trend are, slowly but surely, undergoing a change. After studying various micro-task websites like Mturk, Microwork, Microworkers, and Hivework you realize that people with basic technological skill can work on such micro-tasks. On the other hand, the knowledge driven industry can use services like Flexingit which is a platform to access skilled consultants, experts & project-based resources to drive business priorities.During one of the conversations, your friend mentioned his RemoteYear experience and how it is becoming more popular. You suddenly realized that you can offer a combined service where people can travel and work remotely. For those people whose employers are not ready to allow them to work remotely, based on their profile, you can offer either Microtasks or KPO based work. With this in mind, you and your friend would like to start a new startup called FreeBird. You are required to study the market nuances to validate your business idea and check if the business idea is viable, what should be the revenue model, how can it scale and how the ecosystem will evolve.
You are also required to establish a relevant legal entity to operate this business. Based on your customer profile, demographic and location you are required to outline UI/UX considerations, service features, and applicability of various data privacy regulations. You are also required to formulate the strategy for financial and human capital requirements for this project.
Solution starts from here. A Travel and work mobile app/Web platform which essentially acts as an
aggregator for a BPO/KPO websites along with the option to workers to travel while working.
The members of the “Freebird” community can travel to selected places available as an option to them. Once they pick a project to work on.
The members can choose to travel for 3months, 6months or 1 year. While travelling they’re expected to pay a certain sum of money(varying by
location) every month to the freebird organisation, which includes:o Shared Dorm Stay o Access to a co-working spaceo Travelo Local Support.
This amount would be lesser than what an individual would spend travelling to the same place as the platform will have economies of scale.
Revenue channels The Members also have to pay a fixed annual subscription fee of 1500$ Which
also covers:o Unlimited access to skill relevant Projects.o Counselling and guidance on how to effectively price the projecto Guidance on self-branding, marketing.
The above fee will cover for the fixed costs that Freebird will incur once enough members sign-up.
This Clients (Job poster) will be charged a listing fee of a 100$/ project . Of the total fee paid to the member a certain % will be taken by the platform.Distribution Channel.
This Platform will be distributed as a mobile app and website for the members and clients.
Design Considerations. (UI/UX consideerations)
The app will be designed in a way that it is finger friendly. The design should minimize scrolling Any task on the platform should be completed in not more than 3 clicks Material Design, clean UI Chatbot for supportLegal Entity
Preferred entity type : LLP in the beginning, converted to Pvt. Ltd company on scaling up.
Data Regulations:
As a best practice GDPR will be adhered to in all the locations of operations.Financial Capital will be raised from investors like Angel investors at early stage by diluting a certain amount of equity.
Human capital will be acquired in form of Management interns/trainees hired from the location of deployment resulting in a lower cost. The platform will be rolled out in a phased manner starting only in India and then moving out to different countries of Asia first followed by Europe as it is more cost effective.
Q6. API Bazaar
Solution. The Problem: Currently there are various API markets for APIs of different
Niches there is no centralized API Market place for accessing APIs for all upcoming technologies in place. For eg (Algorithmia for all AI/ML based APIs), Kaggle for all datasets based APIs etc.)
Proposed solution.
An API market place which has all the APIs relevant to emerging technologies under one roof.
It’ll be a web based platform which has a clear classification of different types of api’s and its potential use cases mentioned.
NLP will be utilised in the search functionality to provide easier search options to users.
Revenue channel A shared inventory model with aggregators like Algorithmia, mashape will be
leveraged where in the all the APIs in their inventory will also be listed under API Baazar’s inventory, revenue will be generated when a visitor clicks on any of the links associated with the above database which will create a “Visit to the affiliate website”. A small affiliate fee would be paid to the platform on every link click.
Apart from the Affiliate revenue when a user redirected by us to any aggregator subscribes to any Apis premium plan, a small part of the revenue is taken by the aggregator(eg mashape), a part of this revenue generated by mashape will also be carried forward to “APi bazaar’s Platform.
Developers can also be encouraged to list their Apis directly onto our platform for a lesser fee and lesser charges.
API conversion option from one format to another format will also be made available using APIMATIC engine under the enterprise plan where a white labelled version of their solution is available. Depending on the volume the pricing can be dynamically decided.
