• It stands for the specific error you made in that answer, which you should pay attention to during class discussions

• You confused demand & supply factors

• When asked for demand factors, never talk about the supply! This applies both ways

• E.g. Why is land supply limited? You cannot say that “land supply is limited because rising population results in increased demand for land”

example/explanation is 0.5 marks

• LORMS (you ought to know this by now)

• Level 1: ONE-SIDED ANSWER (1 – 3)• Level 2: TWO-SIDED ANSWER (4 – 6)• Level 3: GOOD TWO-SIDED ANSWER with

CONCLUSION (7 – 8)

How to write an 8m essay?

• Plan:– Intro and conclusion (duh)– 3 points: 2 For 1 Against, or the other way round.

Therefore, write 3 body paragraphs (if well-written, you would’ve gotten at least 6 marks!)

– If the essay is on a given factor/policy, your first paragraph MUST be on the given factor/policy

– Benefits & Limitations for every point!

• In the guidance on How to write a paragraph I gave you on wiki in Week 1, I did not include evaluation.

• Why? Because we weren’t doing essay paragraphs

• Evaluation is:– Not necessary in a 2 – 6 mark question unless asked for– Absolutely necessary in an 8 mark essay question

• What 3 points do you want to talk about?– Desalination– Water Conservation– Water Recycling– Any other response to water scarcity
