Fall in love with breakfast again

Hanna and Brady were honeymooners - halfway across the world, and light years away from a fast -paced New York City lifestyle - when they fell in love with breakfast again. They were wide-eyed andfancy-free for a month of tramping, B&Bs, hostels and exploring every nook and cranny of MotherNature’s Theme Park – New Zealand’s South Island.

Going relatively unnoticed at the time, the theme of their trip eventually became apparent –breakfast. Whether around a rekindled morning campfire or at a sheep farm turned B&B, they madetime for it, and it was special. It became more than just fuel, it was a time to reflect on yesterday, awaken our spirit, plan our next adventure, and dream about the future.

“We are not suggesting a trip across the world is necessary to fall in love withbreakfast again (although it wouldn’t hurt). Until you get that chance, that specialfeeling is packaged up in every box of Seven Sundays muesli.” – say Hannah & Brady

Barnstable.

Inspired by honeymoon memories and focusing on simple but unique ingredients, Hannah createdthe recipe that became our Original New Zealand recipe. Three more recipes and a year later, theywere back home in Minnesota, testing the products at their local farmer’s market.

Delicious Tips on adding more fiber into your breakfast.

#1 Begin your day with fiber boost... choose muesli for breakfast. This is a super crunchy, nutritious, and super delicious choice. “Muesli is quite simply the least processed form of cereal inthe world. And our delightfully simple breakfast blends are made with bliss in every bite. All of ourflavors are special in their own way, but your taste buds are the truest test of which one will be yourfavorite.” – say Hannah and Brady owners of Seven Sundays Company.

Bircher (Unsweetened) Muesli (7 g of dietary fiber)

The Bircher Muesli (Non-GMO Project verified!)is Swiss-style muesli, which means it’s totallyuntoasted and unsweetened. The entire satisfying flavor comes from the abundance of deliciousingredients like almonds, apples, dates and cinnamon. The favorite way to serve it (and the mostpopular breakfast for Hannah & Brady, by far) is soaked in almond milk, with yogurt, blueberriesand a drizzle of maple syrup.

The Bircher Muesli is made from whole grain oats, whole grain rye, and whole grain barley & flaxseeds, along with other natural ingredients that will bring you a healthy, delicious, and mostsatisfying, breakfast experience. The big benefit from whole grain oats is primarily that they are lowin fats and have a high proportion of soluble fiber. The fiber in oats contains beta glucans, acompound that works in the digestive system to help reduce the absorption of cholesterol intoyour bloodstream and slow down the rate at which blood sugar rises in your body.

#2 Pick – high fiber smoothie when the mind-day munchies hit you. Try a Strawberry BananaSmoothie (5 g fiber.) You can start with one cup of strawberries, then add ½ cup plain, nonfatGreek style yogurt, ½ banana, (2.4 grams each) ½ cup orange juice, and a few ice cubes. Blend inthe blender and you have a healthy meal in minutes. Add flax seeds for crunch and even morefiber. Also, you can add one large Asian pear - 9.9 grams of fiber or other high-fiber fruits such asraspberries (4 grams per 1/2 cup) or blackberries (3.8 grams per 1/2 cup)

#3 Adding nuts and seeds to your morning menu can be a great source of fiber and othernutrients. If you are in the mood for a sweet breakfast try The Vanilla Cherry Pecan Muesli – SevenSundays crowd pleaser. “We like to call it our ‘starter muesli’, because of its simple andunintimidating flavor profile. We love to serve it with thick Greek yogurt and a drizzle of rawhoney”- says Hannah.

The Vanilla cherry Pecan Museli Ingredients (6 g of dietary fiber)

o Whole grain oats

o Organic honey

o Bing cherries

o Coconut

o Pecans

o Flax seeds

o Pure vanilla extract

Try adding chopped nuts or seeds to your breakfast for all supper health benefits. For example, a100g of Pecans has 10 grams of fiber. Flaxseed's health benefits come from the fact that it's high infiber and Omega-3 fatty acids, as well as phytochemicals called lignans. One tablespoon of groundflaxseed contains 2 grams of polyunsaturated fatty acids (includes the Omega 3s) and 2 grams of

The "Minnes" are available in four flavors:

"Minne" Vanilla Cherry Pecan Muesli (½ cup- 6g of fiber)

"Minne" Ginger Pear Macadamia Muesli (½ cup –6g of fiber)

"Minne" Bircher Muesli (½ cup –7g of fiber)

Wellness magazine favorite "Minne" Original Toasted Muesli (½ cup- 7g of fiber)

The Original Toasted Muesli was the first recipe Hannah developed and the closest she could get tothe cherished homemade mueslis she and Brady enjoyed in New Zealand. It’s a hearty blendlivened up with unexpected ingredients like Brazil nuts, coconut and cinnamon. Our favorite way toenjoy it is served with cold milk and fresh strawberries.
