Hardware Installation
installation procedure, consult a qualied computer technician. Damage to the system components, thegraphics card, and injury to yoursel may result i power is applied during installation. Now that you have preyour computer, you are ready to install your graphics card.
Quick Start
1. Beore starting installation, it is recommended to completely remove all drivers or your existing graphics
(I you have one)
2. Power o the computer and all attached devices (monitors, keyboard, mouse, etc.).
3. Disconnect the display cable rom your current display adapter on the back o the computer.
4. Remove your existing graphics card (i you have one) rom your computer. You will do this by removing tretaining screw and pulling the card out in a straight up ashion. Please note that your motherboard may
PCI Express (PCI-E) latch on the slot that needs to be pressed in rst.
(NOTE: I your motherboard has integrated or onboard video, you may need to disable it rst, please con
your system or motherboard manuacturer or additional inormation.)

Hardware Installation Details
Graphics Cards Requiring Additional Power
PCI Express (PCI-E) and PCI slots are dierent, so prior to installation; please veriy that the graphics card b
and available slot are the same.
I your graphics card is equipped with a supplemental power adapter, it is required that it be connected at tho installation. This supplemental power adapter ensures that your graphics card receives the necessary pothat will allow it to unction at optimal perormance levels. Your card may require one or two 6 or 8-pin PCI E(PCI-E) supplemental power connectors. Please note that the 8-pin PCI-E power connector is not the same8-pin CPU power connector. Please see the below illustration.
5. Align your new card with the appropriate slot, (see illustration below) and press it in rmly until the card i
seated. Make sure that the metal contacts o the card are completely pushed into the expansion slot.
6. Connect the supplemental PCI Express (PCI-E) power adapter(s) to the card i applicable. (See illustratio
below.)7. Replace the retaining screw to asten the card into place, and then replace the computer cover.
8. Reconnect any devices that you detached during installation, and then connect the monitors video cabl
your new graphics card.
9. Apply power to your system, boot to the operating system and install the proper drivers.

SLI Installation (optional)
On some EVGA graphics cards, it is possible to link multiple graphics cards up or improved perormance, tcalled SLI. To install multiple cards in SLI, ollow the below instructions, please note that in SLI setups both

Software Installation
When you boot up your computer or the rst time ater installing your new graphics card, Windows may detnew display device and attempt to install the drivers. I it gives you the option to cancel, please do so, otherwwait or Windows to complete the installation (a reboot may be necessary).
Ater this process has been completed, it is necessary to install the recommended drivers or your graphics To begin, insert the EVGA Installation DVD/CD and allow the autorun driver installation menu to start.
Install your frst GeForce graphics cardinto the Primary PCI Express x16 slot.
The above SLI bridges are included with your SLI ready motherboard depending on the confgurations that it supports. In order o
SLI setup to work properly you would need to use the appropriate bridge based on the number o cards you are connecting.
2-way SLI
2-way SLI: Install your second GeForcegraphics card in to the outer PCI Express
x16 slot. Connect the two cards together
using the 2-way SLI bridge connector that

Setting up Multiple Displays
The NVIDIA Control Panel allows you to congure a multi-display environment, whether it is through multiple
computer monitors or by using a monitor in conjunction with an HDTV. The ability to use multiple displays wWindows can simpliy many everyday tasks by spreading out the Windows Desktop area or by allowing youwatch a movie on one o the displays. Multiple display conguration can be made in the Set up multiple dissubsection located in the NVIDIA Control Panel. To access the NVIDIA control panel, simply right click on thdesktop, and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
Single Mode
Select just one checkbox or the monitor you wish to use as your single display. This will disable the secondoutput and is the deault setting i you only have one monitor connected to the graphics card.
Extended Mode
Select two or more checkboxes to enable more than one monitor. Once checked, right click on the monitorssection below to set the desired mode. Extended desktop mode can independently control resolution and rrate settings or each display.
Duplicate Displays
Select two or more checkboxes to enable more than one monitor. Once checked, right click on the monitorssection below to set them to duplicate display mode, and select the primary monitor. Duplicate displays reqidentical resolutions between both displays.
Enabling SLI (optional)
I you installed cards in SLI mode, now you will need to enable SLI to get the ull perormance rom your setu

Note: I the autorun driver installation menu does not appear, it can be launched manually by clicking on the
Computer or My Computer icon, and double clicking the icon or your DVD/CD drive. Ater that double c
the autorun.exe fle.
Once the autorun installation menu appears, select the Install Video Drivers button. This will start the driveinstallation process.
Note:During installation, you may be prompted by the Microsot WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) w
please select the Continue or Install this driver sotware anyway option, as it is sae to do so.

Problem: The computer will only display a black screen ater it boots into Windows.
Cause: The integrated video adapter has not been disabled prior to installing the new graphics card and/or having uninstalled the display drivers rom your previous display adapter.
Solution: Ensure the integrated video adapter has been disabled through your motherboards BIOS or theWindows Device Manager prior to installing the new graphics card, and that you have uninstalled the driversthrough the Windows Control Panel. Ater the new card has been installed, connect the monitor cable and irequired, any supplemental power adapters to the new card beore booting up the system.
Problem: Games lockup or crash to the desktop.
Solution: Veriy that all the necessary hardware drivers are installed and up to date, including the chipset, viand sound card drivers. Reinstall the latest version o DirectX (located on EVGA installation disc) or the gamAlso, veriy the game has all the necessary patches installed that are available rom the developer.
Problem: Where can I nd the latest drivers or my graphics card?
Solution: The latest drivers can be ound at www.evga.com/support/drivers
Solution: Remove the card rom the computer and reinsert it, making sure that the card is seated properly inslot, and then try to boot the computer again. I this does not work then the problem is either with the motheor the graphics card and you should contact your hardware manuacturer or urther assistance.
Quick Fixes
Problem: At boot-up, all you hear is a series o beeps rom the computer, but see no screen.
Cause: The beep sounds are a warning sound rom the motherboard BIOS that says it cannot initialize thegraphics card, this can mean one o our things:
1) The card is not seated properly.2) There is a problem with the motherboards graphics card slot.3) Supplemental PCI-E power is not connected to the graphics card.4) There is a problem with the graphics card.
