Introducing the Hamer-Fischbein Model 1800 RBH

Continuing our focus of providing simple, efficient, robust bagging technology, the Model 1800 RBH

(Robotic Bag Hanger) combines the proven effectiveness of our Model 1200 Semi-Automated Bag Hanger with the efficiency of a robot arm to transfer filled bags automatically to a bag top sealer.

It’s the perfect solution for packaging dry, free flowing products such as: animal feed, pet food, seeds, chemicals, fertilizers, grain, rice, sugar, flours, plastic resins and other granular products.

Empty bags are placed in stacks on the bag magazine conveyor. Each bag is then individually indexed, opened and hung on the fill spout. Finally, the bag is filled and transferred to a bag top sealer via a servo-driven robotic arm and powered bag transfer. A two-stage filled upright bag conveyor ensures filled bags rapidly transfer from the fill area into awaiting bag top sealing machines.

The Model 1800 RBH is a unique next generation bag hanger with electronic actions for bag pick, bag placement and bag hanging. It eliminates the yards of air lines, valves and air cylinders in use on other bag hangers. When combined with the Yaskawa MH-12 6-axis robotic arm, it eliminates the majority of wear parts and maintenance issues of all other designs. Air consumption is reduced to under 25 CFM, and the Model 1800 RBH is not burdened with cumbersome controls of unnecessary software, making it very easy to use and maintain. Even the MH-12 Robot is running on Yaskawa’s exclusive MLX technology. MLX eliminates robotic teach pendants and dedicated robotic language programming. The MH-12 runs on an Allen Bradley PLC using ladder logic software. Operators quickly acclimate to achieving and maintaining peak line performance.

All Bag Types and MaterialsThe Model 1800 RBH is designed to support Paper, Poly Woven Laminate, Polyethylene and Polypropylene bags, and bag types including Pillow Style, Side Gusset, Bottom

Gusset and PBOM (pinch bottom bags). The Model 1800 RBH is the only robotic bag placer to support PBOM bags.

Bag size and material type changes are fast, with simple mechanical adjustments and quick, operator intuitive program changes. Switching from paper to Poly woven laminate takes under 5 minutes.

Bag Top ClosingWith over 100 bag sealer choices, Fischbein is the world leader in bag top closing technology. The Model 1800 RBH supports plain sew, sew through tape, PBOM, hot air and band seal technology.

Introducing the New Model 200NW+ Small Footprint Net Weigh Based on the same robust design as the Model 600NW+, but in a much smaller format, the Model 200NW+ offers heavy-duty industrial quality dosing of small weighments from 0.5 to 30 lb. Able to reliably process at speeds of 30, 60, and up to 80+ weighments per minute in Simplex, Duplex Triplex or Quad configurations.

Nick Moser joined the company as a Mechanical/Project Engineer in 2013, bringing with him twenty-five years of Mechanical Engineering/Design experience.

Nick’s strong design capabilities have made him a valuable member of the Hamer-Fischbein team. “The company appreciates my experience,” says Nick, “and I, in turn, appreciate the team dynamic the company fosters.”

In addition to his work on the Hamer Pallet Dispenser, used with automated palletizing systems, Nick has also been a key contributor to the development of the Dual Auger Feed Net Weigh Scale, the gravity/gate assembly for the new 200NW+ Net Weigh Wcale, and our volumetric feeder designs for packaged ice machines.

“I’m most proud of my work on the Pallet Dispensers, my first major project after joining the company,” said Nick. “It’s also exciting to see the various other prototypes that I’ve worked on come to fruition and contribute to the customers’ packaging lines.”

Nick and his wife JoAnn make their home in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In his spare time Nick enjoys traveling in his RV, home remodeling, and designing and building furniture.

Innovative Conveyor Design Maximizes ProductionThe New Hamer Model 4500 Upright Bag Conveyor is a dual belt upright bag conveyor. The shorter bag filling section runs faster than the longer bag sealing conveyor section. When combined with an open mouth bag hanger such as the Hamer-Fischbein Model 1200BH, this allows filled bags to be cleared quickly. The Model 4500 can be used in fully automatic bagging systems or on hand bagging lines where bag transfer speed from the filling process is critical.

New Simple and Effective Manual Bagging SolutionHamer-Fischbein introduced a new mechanical gross weigh bagging scale – the Hamer HGB™. Set up is easy and requires no compressed air or electrical hook up. Achieve from 6 to 8 bags per minute with this durable, simple gross weigh scale. Available in Mild or Stainless Steel and two spout sizes.

New Dura Thread Clipper™ Brings Reliable Thread Cutting to Industrial Bag Top Sewing ApplicationsThe new Fischbein Dura Thread Clipper™ improves sew system performance by eliminating downtime due to potential malfunction of the thread cutter. Its key advantage is having a scissor-type design that captures the thread between two, 2” cutting blades. Thread cannot wander outside of the cutting arc. The Dura Thread Clipper™ ensures consistent cutting of the thread between bags and keeps the bagging line running smoothly in the plant. A retrofit kit is available to replace both the air thread pusher or the rotary knife on all 400 series plain sew systems.
