Every Accomplishment Starts With the Decision
To TRY
Trying your best when things are difficult will not only make you a
stronger player, but when you work hard and try your best it makes
others respect for you grow.
Keeping abilities, experiences, likes/dislikes, views and beliefs constant stunts our growth
as individuals. The familiar becomes too comfortable and starts feeling like it is the only
way life can be.
If you find yourself constantly bored, daydreaming about
the future or past or counting down the minutes until the
day ends, it is probably because you feel
disconnected from what you're doing. Consider
changing careers or majors to a field that you care about, but remember such a move
could have unexpected consequences.
Take action on your plan; do something everyday to move toward your goal.

Signs of Resistance to New Experiences
1) General apprehension/anxiety when something new is suggested2) Bodily sensations of tension/rigidity when in a novel situation3) Attempts to self-medicate high levels of arousal/anxiety with drugs/alcohol4)Tendency to complain along the way during new activities/experiences5)Choosing to focus on the negatives of the new experience, rather than the positives
Take a leap towards the new experience.
Embrace it completely. By slowly building
confidence that you can engage in (and even enjoy!) new
experiences, you are making it more likely
that you will choose to move towards novelty
in the future.
