EVERPURE® EVERDRI™ HIGH CAPACITY COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEM OWNER'S MANUAL
2 EVERPURE® EVERDRI™ COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEM INSTALLATION AND OPERATION GUIDE
INTRODUCTIONThis Everpure EverDri High Capacity Compressed Air System by Pentair is intended to be the primary driver for actuating the following types of equipment in a restaurant, which are currently being driven by CO2:
• Bag-in-Box (BIB) Syrup Pumps for Soft Drinks• Mechanics of the Automated Beverage System (ABS)• Product Pumps in the Blended Ice Machine (BIM)• Bulk Ketchup Pumps• Next Generation Iced Tea Brewers• Any additional equipment powered by CO2
The EverDri High Capacity Compressed Air System is designed to output a constant air pressure for operating restaurant equipment. During normal operation, the compressor will automatically cycle on and off as compressed air is needed. The compressor automatically turns on at the "cut-in" pressure, typically near 95 psig (6.5 bar). When the air pressure in the compressor tank reaches ~ 125 psig (8.6 bar), the compressor has reached "cut-out" pressure and will automatically turn off. Elevated noise levels are normal when the compressor switches off as pressure is relieved within the enclosure. The compressor system also has a cooling fan mounted to the enclosure that is designed to run continuously.
INSPECTIONInspect the box and skid for damage or tampering due to transportation. If damaged, immediately contact the transportation company.
NOTE: Do not cut the tape on the top of the box. This may damage the Compressor cabinet.
Cut and remove two band straps. Lift cardboard box straight up and remove protective cardboard on top and plastic bag. Check for any loose nuts or bolts inside the cabinet and on the legs. Tighten if necessary. Certify that all damaged parts are replaced and that all mechanical and electrical problems are solved before operating the equipment.
Before installing the Everpure EverDri Compressed Air System, inspect the parts. Use the table and illustration provided to verify the parts and quantities provided. If any parts are missing, contact Customer Service at 800.942.1153 (US only)/630.307.3000 or by email at [email protected].

Step 3 Measure the modified pump-up time of the compressor according to procedure. Note the pump-up time (in seconds) for future reference.
Step 4 Unplug compressor system.Step 5 Divide the regular pump-up time by the modified
pump-up time. If the result is greater than 1.25, the membrane air dryer is damaged. Replace membrane air dryer. e.g. Regular pump-up time (149 seconds)
Modified pump-up time (111 seconds)
Step 6 Drain all air from the compressor tank.Step 7 Return all tubing to correct connections.
Call Pentair Technical Support for assistance if needed.

Troubleshooting Procedure 2 - Leaks at Quick-Connect Fittings
1. Remove power.
2. CLOSE the pressure side ball valve to the applications.
NOTE: If needed, change the position of the crossover valve to use back-up CO2.
3. OPEN the valve at the bottom of the storage tank to relieve pressure.
4. Press collar around the quick-connect fitting while pulling the tubing with your other hand.
5. Tubing should be cut squarely. Internal and external burrs should be removed. Place a mark on tubing 5/8" (1.6 cm) from end on 1/4" tubing or 3/4" (1.0 cm) from end on 3/8" tubing.
6. Wet the end and insert tubing until it stops (bottoms out) and the mark is flush with the quick-connect fitting.
7. CLOSE the tank valve.
8. Apply power and bring the system up to pressure. Check for leaks.
