This Week’s Announcements:
Committee Meetings – We ask that the current chairman of each of the church committees call a meeting to elect officers (chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary) from the new committee members before the start of the new church year (September 1). Please notify Philip or LeAnn about the elected officers.
Back to School Celebration – Wednesday, August 9, you are invited to the Big Air Trampoline Park in Spartanburg from 6-7:30pm. Sign up in either building if you want to eat pizza or jump. Cost will be $5/youth or child. Adults can pay $5 to jump OR eat or $10 to jump AND eat.
Bus Drivers – Our Wednesday night bus ministry has been gaining momentum again, but we’re in need of drivers. If you would be willing to drive the bus occasionally, please see Lewis Taylor or Philip Long.
Combined Worship Service & Fall Programs Kick-off – August 20 we will have one combined worship service in the Sanctuary at 10:30am. This will also be the first day of our Sunday night fall activities for all ages!
Seniors Out to Eat – August 19th @ 4pm, the Seniors are going to the Fish Camp for supper. Sign-up sheets will be available in the vestibules. If you have any questions, please see Gayle Bailey.
Senior Men’s Breakfast – All men are invited to join us on this Wednesday (Aug. 2), first Wednesday of the month for breakfast at Hardee’s on Hwy. 149 at I-26 at 8:30.
Fundraising Goal Met & Backpacks distributed! Thank you!We raised the full amount to purchase 600 backpacks for Great Start Woodruff! The backpacks were packed Wednesday and distributed
yesterday to students in District 4.Thank you for supporting this great community effort to help every
child have a great start to the school year!

Tonight, we continue our study together on how to read the Bible with our hearts and our minds. If you missed one of the prior weeks, it’s ok to join in whenever you can. This is for everyone—new Christians and Bible teachers, men, women, young adults, youth, senior adults, and you!
