1. General safety instructions• The anchorage device should be planned, installed and used in a way that no fall over the edge is possible when the per-
sonal protective equipment is appropriately used.• Safe reach to the anchorage device must be guaranteed.• The system must be installed and used only by persons familiar with these operating instructions and with the local safety
regulations, who are physically and mentally healthy and are trained in using PPE (personal protective equipment).• Children and pregnant women should not use the security system.• Medical conditions (cardiovascular problems, intake of medicines, alcohol) can affect the user's safety when working at
height.• During installation and/or use of the GREEN anchorage devices, the applicable accident prevention regulations (e.g. working
on roofs) must be observed.• If you commission the restraint system to external contractors, the instructions for assembly and use are to be provided in
writing.• After a fall, any further use of the entire system is to be avoided and the system must be checked by an expert (component
parts, fastening to the mounting surface, etc.).• All repairs must only be carried out after consultation with the manufacturer.• The GREEN anchorage devices were developed for personal safety and may not be
used for other purposes. Never attach undefined loads to the security systems.• Do not make any changes to the approved anchorage devices.• For sloping roofs, roof avalanches (ice, snow) must be prevented by devices suitable to intercepting snow.• Applicable country-specific lightning protection regulations must be observed.• If the system is sold to another country, the instructions for use must be provided in the local language. • The lifetime of the fleece is 20 years.• Attention: Snow clearance at the facility required due to snow pressure load.
• The GREEN “EVERGREEN” anchorage device may only be assembled by capable experts familiar with the use of the roof safety system.
• The installers must ensure that the mounting surface is suited to bearing the anchorage device’s weight (min. 80 kg / m²). If in doubt, a structural engineer should be consulted.
• The minimum height of the support must be reached (see page 10 / item 7.1).• Use only with a roof pitch of ≤ 5°.• There must be an attic or a gravel stop profile available.• Can be used on bitumen and plastic waterproofing membranes. Mounting on unsuitable an unsuitable surfaces constitutes
a danger to life.• The proper installation of the safety system must be documented according to protocol and photos of each assembly situa-
tion.• When accessing the roof safety system, the positions of the anchorage devices are to be documented in plans (e.g. a
sketch of the roof-top view).• When accessing the roof safety system, the positions of the anchorage devices are to be documented in plans (e.g. a
sketch of the roof-top view).• Stainless steel must not come into contact with swarf or steel tools. This can lead to corrosion.• All stainless steel bolts must be greased with a suitable lubricant before assembly.• The combination of the individual elements of the specified devices can create hazards if the safe functioning of one of the
elements is impaired. (Observe the respective instructions for use!)• If any ambiguity occurs during installation, it is imperative that you contact the manufacturer.
2. For safe installation
6
EVERGREEN
• Measures must be taken prior to starting work to ensure the prevention of any objects from falling down from the work site. The area below the work site (sidewalk, etc.) must be kept clear.
• Before use, the entire system must be checked via visual inspection for obvious defects (e.g. loose screw connections, de-formations, abrasion, corrosion, defective roof sealings, etc.). If there are doubts as to the safe function of the safety system, it must be inspected by an expert (written documentation).
• In case of wind forces exceeding the usual level, the safety system must not be used.• The anchorage device on the roof is designed for stress in all directions parallel to the installation surface.• The safety system must not be used in conjunction with fall arresters (EN 360).• The anchorage device is not suitable for rope-supported work (rope-secured work, etc.).• The attachment to the GREEN anchorage device is always performed with a carabiner to the anchorage eye and must be
carried out with a harness in accordance with EN 361 and a force-absorbing absorber with a connection device (EN 355, EN 354 and EN 353-2).
• Warning: For horizontal use, only connection devices that are suitable for this purpose and tested for the corresponding edge design (sharp edges, trapezoidal sheet metal, steel beam, concrete, etc.) may be used.
• The fastening material must always be set as short as possible in order to minimize the possible free-fall height in the event of a fall.
• The minimum clearance under the roof edge and the ground is calculated as follows:• Deformation and displacement (max 1m) of the anchorage device under load• + Manufacturer specification of the personal protective equipment used, including rope deflection• + Height• + 1 m safety margin• A plan must be available that specifies rescue procedures for all possible emergencies.
3. For safe use
The system components of the anchorage device "EVERGREEN" are made of stainless steel, aluminum and fleece. Under nor-mal conditions of use and environmental conditions, all components are warranted for 2 years against manufacturing defects. However, if the anchorage point is used in particularly corrosive atmospheres, this period may be shortened. In the case of a fall (user falling), the warranty claim expires.
Warning:Please note that if you do not observe the instructions for use and/or in case of incomplete documentation, any compensation claims are excluded. For system and component assemblies, which have been delivered and installed by assembly firms under their responsibility, GREEN International Absturzsicherungs GmbH assumes no responsibility or warranty.
4. Warranty
After installation, the following points must be observed:
• Fleece not visible• Control kit set and stickers for height attached• Checking the height of the bedding (gravel, substrate, ...) using the control kit (see point 5.3)• Fill out the installation report (see page 19 / point 9)• Do not forget photo documentation (during assembly)

5.2. Check before use
The entirety of the safety equipment must be subjected to inspection by an expert at least once per year. The user's safety de-pends on the effectiveness and durability of the equipment. The inspection by an expert must be documented on the attached control card (see page 21/point 11).

6. Application/Approval
6.1. Application
The GREEN "EVERGREEN" was designed as an anchorage point for personal safety for 2 persons (including 1 person for first aid) according to EN 795:2012 Type E and is suitable for the following fall-protection systems according to EN 363:2008:
• Restraint systems• Suspension systems
Warning: Not suitable for workplace positioning and hanging jobs!
as an attachment point for end and corner points (only with lashing set) and intermediate rope fastener (not included) in the GREENLINE horizontal safety rope system for personal safety for 2 persons (including 1 person for first aid) according to EN 795:2012 Type C and E and is suitable for the following fall protection systems according to EN 363:2008:
• Restraint systems• Suspension systems
WARNING: In the rope system, an additional lashing set must be installed opposite the direction of pull at the end and corner points (see page 12 / point 7.6).
6.2. Application
The GREEN EVERGREEN has been tested and certified as an anchorage point according to EN 795:2012 Type E as well as an attachment point in the GREENLINE horizontal safety rope system according to EN 795:2012 Type C & E.
The test was performed statically and dynamically on the original mounting surface.

WORK SAFETY IN THE GREEN FIELDFall safety is mandatory in Austria. For several years, all professionals have been
undertaking their work secured to the roof. Meanwhile, this is closely monitored by the Labour Inspectorate. Not only in the case of installation companies
but also for building owners. So, everyone must be secured.Do it GREEN.
