02. About Monterrey.

Page 11: Everest booklet

Monterrey is the third largest city in Mexico and the capital of the state of Nuevo León. It is the commercial, industrial, educatio-nal, and transportation hub of northern Mexico, also second in economic importance after Mexico City. The city has emerged as a lea-ding cultural center: it likes cutting edge contemporary architecture, a youthful city that tends to prefer cutting edge rockeros like Plastili-na Mosh or Kinky to the cow-boy-hat wearing cumbia groups.

Monterrey is a progressive, modern city that likes to learn, likes to work, and likes to live for the weekend.

A forum where inspiration and collaboration convert to action.YouthSpeak Forum is a premiere event that brings together both young and senior lea-ders to form a diverse cross-sector and mul-ti-generational space for inspiring conversa-tions around pressing global issues.

The forum aims to create an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can cross-pollinate ideas, share insights and gain new perspectives to create actionable outco-mes to push the world forward.

We make this happen by taking our delega-tes through the unique and interactive fra-mework of Inspire, Engage, Act.
