2019 ANNUAL ARTS AND CRAFTS

BONANZA CLUBHOUSE 4 SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2 9 A.M. TO 4 P.M. SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3 9 A.M. TO 3 P.M.

If you’re an arts and crafts aficionado, you’ll love the Bonanza! Laguna Woods Village’s talented artists and craftspeople present an extensive collection of works for purchase. Browse a unique array of gifts, home decor, wall art, jewelry, accessories and more crafted from ceramic, porcelain, wood, glass, fabric, yarn and precious metals, and oil, acrylic and watercolor paints.

There will be live music, food for purchase and complimentary beer and wine while supplies last. Offsite parking with complimentary shuttle service will be available from the Laguna Woods Maintenance Center at 23081 Via Campo Verde.

Clubhouse 1 at 5:30 p.m. Martinez’s menu includes chicken parmesan, lasagna with Italian meat sauce, fresh green salad, hot garlic bread and spumoni ice cream. Clubhouse 7 at 5:30 p.m. Jolanda’s menu includes hot chicken salad with cranberry mold, fresh fruit salad and spinach salad topped with strawberries and toasted almonds. Soups are curried zucchini, old-fashioned vegetable and fresh mushroom. Dessert includes brownies and lemon squares. Tickets are on sale at Clubhouse 7 for $12. Performing Arts Center/Clubhouse 3 at 7:30 p.m. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a struggling attorney and new mother who faces adversity and numerous obstacles in her fight for equal rights. When Ruth takes on a groundbreaking tax case with her husband, attorney Martin Ginsburg, she knows it could change the direction of her career and the way the courts view gender discrimination. Clubhouse 2 Sequoia Ballroom at 1:30 p.m. Music historian Larry Maurer honors the great songs that helped build the spirit of our nation. The Timeless Melodies Foundation pays tribute in song to our American heroes who sacrificed their lives to create the world’s greatest democracy. “Yankee Doodle,” “The Star Spangled Banner,” “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “America the Beautiful,” “God Bless America” and more are songs that are part of our national heritage.
