1 Executive Summary
The Noida office of BPCL organized three events, under ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’, part of
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a campaign that aims to clean up the streets, roads and
infrastructure of India's cities, smaller towns, and rural areas. Gramin Vikas Trust, (GVT)
was selected as partner to plan the activities, organize the goods and materials and
conduct the event.
The events, funded under the CSR program of BPCL, were conducted on 11th Jul, 12th
Jul and 13th Jul, 2018 and covered the local population of Delhi/NCR. The purpose
was to sensitizing them about importance of health, hygiene and sanitation by carrying
IEC activities such as Nukkad Nataks, Video clippings on swachhta and Swachh Bharat
and distributing hygiene kits.
The program was conceived by Shri Lalit Vats, GM, HR BPCL and Shri VB Gokhle, the
CSR Head for BPCL and fully supported by Shri Rajesh Kashyap, Manager HR, BPCL.

2 Event-1: Health Camp
2.1 Event Details
• Date : 11th Jul 2018
• Time : 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Venue : Roadside Tent, Sector 1, Noida, UP, Outside BPCL Office
The Health Camp was organized in partnership with Fortis Hospital. The program was
inaugurated by Shri Lalit Vats, with a very motivating and educational speech followed by
Swachhta Pledge by all participants. CEO, Gramin Vikas Trust, Shri S.S. Yadav, also
addressed the audience on the importance of cleanliness. The Five-member, doctor and
healthcare professionals’ team from Fortis, conducted the primary check-up of the
attendees, including BP, Blood Sugar, ECG, BMI and individual consultation with the
doctors.
While the attendees waited for their turn for the health check-up, they could watch on the
big screen, Swachhta Videos being projected. Initially, very few people came inside the
camp, but, slowly the numbers stated piling up and there were huge queues. The BPCL
security guards and the local police managed the queue well and prevented any chaos or
stampede.
All the participants were given a Hygiene Kit, comprising of Tooth brush, Tooth-Paste,
Dettol soap, Ear Buds, Shampoo and Oil pouches. They were also given Snack box and
all the items were given in a re-usable Jute-Bag. They were educated with the harm effects
of plastics and were requested to replace the plastic bags with that Jute bag for their
shopping needs. Everyone was also given a white cap to protect them from Sun, with
printed message of Swachhta, to spread awareness about the cleanliness.
Altogether, roughly 1000 people took the benefit of the health camp. Most of them were
from EWS, primarily factory workers, rickshaw pullers, road-side hawkers etc.

3 Cleanliness Awareness Camp in a School in Noida
3.1 Event Details • Date : 12th Jul 2018
• Time : 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Venue : Primary School , Navada Rasoolpur, Sector 62, Noida
The Cleanliness Awareness Camp was organized inside primary school in the Navada
Rasoolpur Village, Near Sector 62, Noida. The management team of BPCL, including
General Manager, HR, Shri Lalit Vats and the management team of GVT including CEO
Surendra Sing Yadav, attended the event. The Basic Shikha Adhikari of GB Nagar, also
graced the occasion.
Altogether, roughly 300 students took the benefit of the camp. Most of them were from
EWS section of the society, living in villages around Sector 62, Noida.

4 Cleanliness Awareness Camp in a School in Delhi
4.1 Event Details • Date : 12th Jul 2018
• Time : 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Venue : Nigam Pratibha School ,Malviya Nagar, SDMC (700 Students)
The Cleanliness Awareness Camp was organized inside the South Delhi Municipal
Corporation’s primary school for girls in Malviya Nagar. The management team of BPCL,
including Chief Manager, CSR, Shri B.V. Gokhle and Manager-HR Shri Rajesh Kashyap
Altogether, roughly 700 people took the benefit of the health camp. Most of them were
children of primarily factory workers, rickshaw pullers, road-side hawkers etc.

5 Cleanliness Awareness Camp and Walkathon In Noida
5.1 Event Details • Date : 13th Jul 2018
• Time : 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Venue : Roadside Tent, Sector 1, Noida, UP, Outside BPCL Office
The Walkathon and IEC Activities were organized outside BPCL Noida office in Sector 1
Noida. More than 3000 people participated in the event and the entire Management of
BPCL Noida, whole heartedly participated in the event. The participants were distributed
Jute bags and glass bottles. All the rickshaw pullers, factory workers of the surrounding
areas could join the event. On this occasion, the General Manager HR, Shri Lalit Vats,
lead the Walkathon and the employees of the other PSUs like IOCL, GAIL etc joined the
event. A team of artists performed Nukkud Nataks at multiple locations, which was very
much appreciate by the crowd and the message of cleanliness was communicated in an
effective manner.
