We are very pleased to invite you to the 4th edition of the Barrier Based Risk Management Network Event in Amsterdam. The overall theme for this edition is “Making risk understandable”.

Engaging speakers will address different perspectives to broaden your view on the subject. During this event you can share ideas, insights, best practices and experiences with thought leaders, regulators, knowledge institutions and your peers. This event will appeal to a diversified audience of HSE, business, finance, legal and compliance professionals as well as regulators and knowledge institutions. The event is meant for all industries, ranging from Oil & Gas to Financials.

SET-UP OF THE EVENT

Only when risks are completely understood, they can be managed.

This is the starting point and central theme of the 4th edition of our global 'Barrier Based Risk Manage-ment Network Event'. Every two years we organize this event for all of our contacts around the world. At the last edition we welcomed about 300 people with 47 different nationalities, working for 238 organi-zations active in a variety of 'critical infrastructure' industries.

For this edition we have 30 speakers, who will address different perspectives to broaden views on this central subject during the 2-day conference.

The program will start with a key-note speech from Dr. André Kuipers,

astronaut and ambassor of earth.

We have a number of client involved from CHC Helicopters, Shell Nigeria,

Hamad Medical Corporation, Rolls-Royce, TATA Steel, Virgin Trains, Japan Airlines, Civil Aviation Authority UK, Rail Safety & Standards Board, Air Transat, NavCanada, ProRail, Hess, and Viva Energy.

In addition, a number of subject matter experts working for Kelvin TOP-SET,

Rider International, Risktec, Technical University Delft, Sherpa, AdviSafe,

DNVGL, University of Huddersfield, Across Safety, Aloft, PSI and CGE will share their views on a number of interesting aspects of risk management.

Furthermore, during the first day of the conference we have an exhibition, giving you the opportunity to

speak to a number of other partners that we work with.

We will close the 2-day event with a social activity - a visit to the famous Van Gogh Museum.

INTERACTION

Donatello Piras (known from RTL-Z) will keep the program as interactive as possible by challenging multi-

ple speakers to elaborate their stories in relation to operational excellence. The conference has a strong social/personal element. It’s not only about sharing vision, content, best practices & knowledge and con-necting people. We also would like to take the opportunity to interact with you about our latest develop-ments. To cater for this we have many breaks to allow you to talk to people, a number of workshops, an exhibition, a Global User Group Meeting and a Global Partner Event and a Social Activity.
