The Zambia Ecommerce Expo and Conference (ZEEC) was established with the sole purpose of

promoting ecommerce in Zambia and Africa as an avenue of fast tracking economic growth.

Through this event we are bringing together under one roof, the regulators of businesses, the

businesses that offer e-commerce services, the businesses that use e-commerce services,

SME's that use e-commerce services and individuals that are looking at starting an e-

commerce business.

support is greatly appreciated and in particular I would like to give a special mention to the

Competition and Consumer Protection Commission for their excellent keynote speech. The

purpose of this post-event report is to not only to provide you with insight and analysis to the

depth and breadth of activities that we have invested in marketing your businesses but also to

provide a summary of all the other activities that we invest in to help build the audience and

About

The Zambia Ecommerce Expo and Conference (ZEEC) was established with the sole purpose of

promoting ecommerce in Zambia and Africa as an avenue of fast tracking economic growth.

Through this event we are bringing together under one roof, the regulators of businesses, the

businesses that offer e-commerce services, the businesses that use e-commerce services, SME's

that use e-commerce services and individuals that are looking at starting an e-commerce

business.

Objectives create a platform were e-commerce ideas and innovations are actively discussed and acted

upon.

Assist businesses, especially SME's and Individuals wishing to venture into e-commerce

business, to understand what services are offered by which players in the sector and how

they can access these services.

Use the platform to link SME's and Businesses to e-commerce service providers

Create a complete platform for individuals and businesses/SME's to learn about e-

commerce and have on the spot access to the main players in the e-commerce space and

for those players to onboard them.

Develop a platform where e-commerce service providers can get feedback and customer

input to improve their service provision as well as a basis to develop new products.

Create a platform were Government agencies can interact with stakeholders and get

feedback on how tey can improve e-commerce Business

Mr Henk Gezienus Mulder is the Zanaco Managing Director & CEO. With a career

spanning over 34 years, Mr Mulder is a Law Graduate of the university of Groningen

in the Netherlands with extensive experience in banking with functional expertise in strategic and change management, credit risk, treasury,

investment and retail banking. He started his career in 1982 at ABN Amro Bank where he

served in various roles in the Netherlands, India, Brazil, Indonesia, Colombia, Romania and Saudi Arabia.He also served at PT Bank

Rabobank Indonesia as CEO for five years before joining Rabo Development as Managing

Director.

Sonny is the Regional Head of Strategic Transformation, Alliance and Performance

Management for Africa and the Middle East at Standard Chartered Bank. Before relocating to Dubai, Sonny was the Head of Retail Banking

for Standard Chartered Bank Zambia and Southern Africa. He took up senior leadership

responsibilities at a very young age and he has held a number of senior executive roles in the Bank which include; Head of Retail Clients,

General Manager for Distribution for Zambia and Southern Africa and Head of Corporate

Affairs.

Pardon is responsible for driving WorldRemit business expansion programs in the region. He is actively involved in crafting business growth

strategies, fostering relationships with key financial institutions, mobile network

operators, retailers and regulatory authorities in sub-Saharan Africa. His unique experience in telco, mobile money and on-line business

makes him a perfect fit for a nascent market in Africa. He has experience in setting up mobile

money ecosystems in frontier markets.

Salome Makau is the Country Manager responsible for the Visa business in Zambia,

Botswana and Malawi and oversees the Standard Chartered Bank Africa Business for Visa (11 markets).She also has relationships

she manages with Visa clients in Kenya where she is currently based. As senior business

leader, Sally manages all aspects of the relationship between Visa and designated clients, acquires new clients and focuses on

business growth and client satisfaction.

THE SPEAKERS

Roy Muyelu is the CEO of ProBase Zambia a

company that provides financial technology related services in the revenue collection and payment domain. Probase implements

platforms and processes that aid in the payment aggregation of taxes, dues, levies

and other payment types across various electronic channels. These include banks,

telecoms, government, insurance and pensions

and other sectors

Mercy Zulu is an Investment Associate and ESG officer at Goodwell Investments, a

pioneering investment firm focused on financial inclusion, FinTech and inclusive growth in

sectors providing basic goods, services and income generating opportunities to the

underserved.

Brian is an Associate Director within Deloitte Advisory Services Limited based in Zambia.

He has over 16 years experience in Business Advisory and Information Systems assurance

for a range of clients in multiple sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and Master in Business

Administration from University of Leicester. He hold certifications including: Certified

Information Systems Auditor (CISA); and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).6Sigma greenbelt and lean

DFSS. He is a member of ISACA Zambian chapter and member of Institute of Internal

Auditors Zambian Chapter.

Currently Head of Digital Banking for Barclays Zambia with over 13 years industry experience in various roles. Joined

Barclays as Customer adviser and later moved to Operations and IT to Head IT

Service Management. In 2012, joined Corporate Banking as Head of Cash Management before taking a role at the

regional office in South Africa as Head of IT Sourcing for Barclays Africa . Returned to

Zambia in 2015 to take up role as Head Customer Service before moving to a new

assignment as Head of Digital Banking.

Gilbert is a seasoned sales professional with

10 years senior sales management experience. He has worked in computer software and hardware sales as well as

corporate internet solutions sales. He was National Enterprise sales manager at MTN

Zambia and most recently Head of enterprise sales at Airtel Zambia before joining Cellulant

in 2017 to lead the Zambia team.
