    PoliciesSMG is the exclusive Food & Beverage provider for the TheDow Event Center. No food or

    beverage of any kind will be permitted to be brought into the facility by the patron or patrons

    guests or invitees without prior written approval of the

    Food & Beverage Director.

    The Food & Beverage Director must approve sampling and or distribution of food or beverage

    by any exhibitor or vendor two weeks (10 business days) prior to any function. SMG reserves

    the right to adjust, waive or modify exclusivity of these policies related to move-in and move-

    out of the facility for tradeshow, consumer or related events.

    GuaranteesThe Guaranteed number of attendees is required 1 week (5 business days) prior to the date

    of your event. If the guarantee is not received as stated, the number speciied on the contract(Estimate Number) will be your guarantee. The guarantee is not subject to reduction after

    the 1-week deadline. Increases in attendance given after the inal guarantee deadline may

    be subject to additional charges. The Food & Beverage Department will make every eort to

    service additional guests based upon availability of product and labor; however, the Food &

    Beverage Department will not be responsible or liable for servicing these additional guests.

    The Food & Beverage Department will prepare food product for seated functions 5% over the

    guarantee to a maximum of 30 people. Additional seating will only be placed if needed.

    Beverage ServiceWe oer a complete selection of beverages to complement your function. As the licensee, we

    are responsible for the administration of these regulations. Alcoholic beverages may not be

    brought onto the premises from outside sources without prior written consent of the Food &

    Beverage Director. We reserve the right to ask patrons for proper identiication for alcoholic

    beverage services and we reserve the right to refuse alcohol service to intoxicated or underage

    persons. Alcoholic beverages may not be removed from the premises. Client is responsible for

    general sobriety and conduct of its guests. The bar must close one half hour before your end

    time. Any alcohol charges incurred during the event must be settled the night of the event.

    MenusThe following menus are designed as guidelines to assist you in the selection of your food and

    beverage services. Please note that your Food & Beverage Director welcome the opportunityto customize menus and services to create specialty or thematic events.

    PoliciesPricing

    A 20% service charge will be applied to all food, beverage and related services. A 6% sales tax

    will be applied to all food, non-alcoholic beverages, labor, service charges, rental equipment,

    etc. Any buets, plated dinners, or boxed lunches under 30 guests will incur a $100.00 setup

    fee for each day.

    ContractsIf you are planning to include Food & Beverage with your event, you will need to complete

    a catering contract to hold your space in the facility. The deposit schedule on your catering

    contract will relect estimated Food & Beverage charges. The catering contract, signed by both

    parties, with its stated terms and deposit, constitute the entire agreement between the clientand Catering by SMG. TheDow Event Center reserves the right to determine areas where food

    and beverage services are located.

    PaymentA minimum deposit of $500 is required to assure your date and space for your event. 100% of

    your estimated charges are due, 1 week (5 business days) prior to your event. Any increases

    in inal guarantee (above 5%) are due and payable at the conclusion of your event. You may

    inalize your account by company check, personal check, Visa, MasterCard,

    American Express or cash.

    Cancellation PolicyCancellation of contract services must be made in writing a minimum of 4 weeks priorto scheduled function. Should it be necessary for the client to cancel a function after the

    agreement has been signed, SMG Food and Beverage, L.L.C, will be entitled the following:

    cancel more than six months prior to the event date; TheDow Event Center shall refund

    100% of all monies paid towards this event. Cancel less than six months and more than

    three months prior to the event date; TheDow Event Center shall retain 50% of the licensees

    initial deposit. Cancel less than three months prior to the event date; TheDow Event Center

    shall retain 100% of the licensees initial deposit and any other deposits that were paid to

    date. Cancel 30 days prior to the event date; TheDow Event Center shall retain 100% of the

    licensees initial deposit and 10% of all estimated charges to date.

    PoliciesFacility Services

    Round table seating of eight will be provided unless otherwise speciied. Seating diagrams

    with numbered tables are available upon request. Banquet prices include white linens,

    glassware, china and latware. For banquets exceeding 500 guests additional rental charges

    may apply.

    Decorations and FloralYour Food & Beverage Director is available to assist with thematic decorations and specialty

    linens/napkins to enhance your event. The following decorations are prohibited by

    TheDow Event Center: free standing candles, pyrotechnics, and confetti.

    Outside VendorsDeliveries of decorations, props, equipment, and rental items must be scheduled with TheDow

    Event Center at least ten (10) business days prior to the event. All props, equipment, and

    rentals will be admitted into TheDow Event Center only up to one day before the event if the

    space is available.

    MiscellaneousSMG Food & Beverage L.LC. shall not be held responsible for any losses resulting from

    nonfulillment of any terms or provisions of this agreement if SMG Food & Beverage shall bedelayed or prevented from performing in whole or in part because of war, riot, strike, lood or

    by any other act or occurrence not within the control of SMG Food & Beverage L.L.C.
