Evaluation During this unit, we worked on advertising for a new product. Our team consisted of myself and Lauren. We made an advertising company called ‘bright advertising’ where we would create adverts for certain company’s products. We chose an appropriate slogan and logo for our company name which emphasises the fact we highlight products in the adverting company against competitors. I really like this idea as it is unique and has a meaning. We decided to advertise for a water product rather then a cereal bar or chewing gum. We did this as we feel this was the most available product too us. This worked well as when designing and printing off our logo we had a bottle on us already which we used for out TV advert. We changed the aim of our bottle to help people concentrate with added vitamins. This opens our target audience to students and businessmen, which helped us with out marketing campaign where we decided to play our advert on evening TV and online catch up TV. Then we would turn up to collage and university’s fresher’s week with free samples, this is ideal as it if full of people from our target audience. Then we would use posters and cardboard cut outs around local and cheap supermarkets where students, parents, teachers and professionals would shop. Lauren and I didn’t have a director in our group as we worked very well together. I enjoyed this as I felt I could be creative whilst Lauren came up with very good ideas and was very imaginative. Evaluation

During this unit, we worked on advertising for a new product. Our team consisted of myself and Lauren. We decided to advertise for a water product rather then a cereal bar or chewing gum. We did this as we feel this was the most available product too us. Lauren and I didn’t have a director in our group as we worked very well together. I enjoyed this as I felt I could be creative whilst Lauren came up with very good ideas and was very imaginative. As I never played a roll in this, I feel this was the best for me and Lauren as we achieved the best we could.

When we did our individual print designs, I feel we really worked well and got creative. This was a chance for me and Lauren to create 3 slightly different designs, all using the same font, logo, bottle and colours. This worked well as they all looked similar in the way it matched the product, yet having multiple designs will make the bottle more well knows from different ads.

When filming and editing my TV advert. I feel this went well and created the effect I was looking for. I think this was clear what the water would do to you making my advert understandable. I set it in a casual classroom scene as all students and adults have been there and everyone knows how painful it is not to be able to concentrate.

I feel our pitch went very well. We spoke clear and well, made eye contact and had control. However, I feel if we were to do this again I would talk more about our print adverts as our audience questioned it after.

If we were to do this again in the future, I feel it would have been best to spend more time filming to give myself more camera shots to make our advert a little more interesting. I tired to get the camera angle to change on each beat, however as the song sped up I feel I didn’t have enough footage to get the effect I was aiming for.

Overall I feel this topic was very difficult as there was only 2 of us. This topic contained many skills however, Lauren and I were very successful and I feel we both did very well. I am mostly proud of our pitch as it was very difficult for both of us but had a very positive grade. When doing Unit 18 advertisement topic, I stumbled over many positives and negatives. This unit contained many skills that I learnt along the way. As i worked as a pair with Lauren, I feel just it being us two we had a lot of work between us making us a bit behind as a result I had to come back after school to film.
