evaluation target audience
TRANSCRIPT
Who would be the audience for your media product?
Representing my target audience• Rock fans are usually younger, between 15 and 25
years old.• Younger people are more interested in social
networking and keep up to date with music this way too.
• There is a mix of both male and female listeners – neither is particularly dominant.
• Rock fans are excitable, imaginative, and like to take charge.
• Their lifestyles are showy and nostalgic.• They like music with heart and meaningful lyrics,
as well as a good beat.
A typical rock fan would…• Shop for flashy clothing, perhaps at Rock
Candy or Dead Good.• Be kind, considerate, yet excitable and full
of life. They care very much for their friends and have a relaxed lifestyle.• Listen to rock bands. This could include
Coldplay, Skillet, Green Day, Aerosmith, The Cure, and many more.• Be between 15 and 25 years of age.
Why would my TA buy/subscribe to my magazine?• I believe my target audience would purchase my magazine because it
would appeal to their interests. There would be lots of news and reviews on bands and artists they would surely be aware of, and would offer freebies like coffee vouchers etc.
Audience Profile• Age of 15 – 25 years.• Good mix (50%) of male and female readers.• Active, intelligent and very interested in the media (music, video
games, socialising, films etc). Also like fashion and relaxation.
Advertising• Through distribution of my magazine, I could attract advertisements
for almost anything that would interest young people. This could be video games, mobile phones, brands of food/drink, clothes, and much more.
