2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?

The Article• I have represented people who don’t feature in my

magazine by using a particular style of writing in my article. I think my article shows that my reader enjoys a laugh and hopefully can relate to what has been said in my article.

• I used quotes from my interview to draw the readers attention to what the interviewee has said and if they think the same they could be represented in that way as fans who feel connected to the artist.

• I have used a simple font in my article to represent a person who likes t straight, doesn’t like anything confusing and likes to understand what is going on.

Front Cover

• On my front cover I have used a girl which may be unusual for a rock magazine but I think it would intrigue a secondary audience of girls who may want to look like the girl on my front cover or be like her attitude wise.

• This represents my secondary audience of girls because it represents what a girl who is into rock music would want to look like/be like.

Contents Page

• My contents page represents my audience by showing pictures of fans and CDs that my reader would enjoy going to.

• The pictures on my contents page also include pictures of CDs and fans. This shows what my reader would be. I thin the picture of a fan would intrigue my audience and make them relate themselves to this fan.
