Comparing our thriller to our preliminary task

• In our preliminary task we used very basic camera angles, shots and editing skills and as a result it was found with ease to piece together our preliminary task. What we achieved from our prelinary task was learning to focus whilst being filmed and keeping our attention on the outcome –this is what I found from being in and playing a role as an actress in the preliminary task. However from Luke’s point of view of filming he gained some experience on how to shoot, what angles are better than others and generally got an overall feel for what it is we were aiming to achieve as a group, so that by the time it came to our thriller we were focused and set in the right direction from the start.

• In our thriller I took a different approach to putting in my efforts as part of a team; I did once again play a very tiny role in the start which was easily done through my experience in the Preliminary Task. But this time I took on a different; reversing the roles with Luke (him acting) and I tried my hand at filming. I then gained the experiences of making sure the light was right for the shot, making sure there was only what we wanted into the shot, filming from the correct angles and so on.
