Evaluation Question 6 What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? Above is an image I created using a website called Fotor Editor. It shows all the digital programmes and websites I used. This includes Survey Monkey, Blogger, Photoshop, InDesign, Scribd, SoundCloud and SlideShare. These websites and software heavily influenced the outcome of my product and helped me develop my skills on programmes I haven’t used before such as Photoshop and InDesign. Using SurveyMonkey, I was able to research my audience in detail and ask questions about what they would like to see in the magazine. I researched what artists and genre of music would be the most successfully sold. This website allowed me to get an average of each answer and helped influence my magazines look. I learnt that this was a very straight forward website to use which gave me good results when I was planning my magazine. Furthermore, Photoshop was used very heavily in this process to help manipulate the photos I’d taken. I resized the photos to enable them to fit on my magazine cover, contents and double page spread. I also added a gradient in the background to highlight the other tools on Photoshop and imply that the model was the main focus in the issue of the magazine. I learnt that this is a hard software to use but, if used with experience and with the knowledge on how to use it properly, it can create amazing results. In addition to this, I used SlideShare and Scribd to allow different media formats to be used on my Blog. It ensured that I could use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to complete my work. This made it more intriguing for the audience viewing my blog and gave it a sense of diversity. These were also easy to use but I found finding the embedded link hard to find, mostly it was on the other page.

Evaluation Question 6What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Moreover, Soundcloud was used to voice one of my evaluations. I expected it to be easy to use and it was. It also helps the audience by allowing them to listen to it rather than having to read a lot of text. This further gives my blog diversity in using media formats.

The camera I used was a new camera and therefore gave my image good quality. However, I think that the model could have had better lighting in the photo to ensure that it looked more professional than it does. I would have had to use studio lights to make the models features stand out more.
