Challenge Technology Function Effect SignificanceCreating a near perfect replica of Industrial Film Script Format was extremely difficult to do via Microsoft Word. I wanted to imitate the norms for script format as clearly as possible.

Celtx presented me with the opportunity to replicate Industrial Film Script Format perfectly; it allowed me to break down my script effectively and properly.

Each Celtx page equates to approximately 60 seconds; I am also able to use notable script functions, such as a slug-line and scene heading.

Celtx achieves industrial film script format – every piece of spacing/every margin is just as it should be on scripts that pass through the industry.

Using this format will benefit the director, for example, as each page on Celtx equates to a minute, so each page allows you to have a rough idea of how long your film will be, via a minute-by-page ratio. For example, if you have 5 pages, your film will likely last 5 minutes.

Online Desktop Publishing Software presents me with the option of replicating certain forms and structures of an exemplary Sight & Sound review.

The line separators, and the different style areas of the page (synopsis in own box) etc.

This software allows me to reproduce the look and the precision/professionalism of an industry intellectual film magazine. Particular tools (such as…) enabled me to meet particular challenges (highlight certain icons in the video, and explain their significance – hover over tools, use their descriptions - “this tool enabled me to…”).

Using this software to this degree of successfulness will demonstrate a higher amount of precision within the magazine article, and enable good spacing between the wording in the article.

Prezi is a cloud-based presentation software and storytelling tool for presenting ideas on a virtual canvas.

Through Prezi, I am able to employ a zooming user interface, which allows me to zoom in and out of my presentation media, and

This allows me to break the mold, in other words, differentiate from the norms, and present my presentation in unique ways.

As a media student, using Prezi enables me to advance in my knowledge of media software. It also provides an alternate differentiation

allows me to display and navigate through information within a 2.5D or parallax 3D space on the Z-axis.

I am able to manipulate content anywhere on the page, providing me with more diversity within these particular functions.
