planning and evaluation stages? Part 2

Technologies:

• The technologies we used were all so interesting and useful, however some more than others. For example: Final Cut Pro X came to good use as it helped us edit very easily our analysis videos for our research. It also helped us in constructing a final film because without Final Cut and its many effects, transitions and grading methods we would not have been able to complete our work.

• At first Final Cut Pro takes a little getting used to but it is very simple to use once you get the hang of using the main tools. For example: blade, select and trim tools. Using Final Cut Pro X also helped us in combination to creating our radio trailer as we decided it was best to edit the voiceovers through Final Cut Pro.

• All the technologies worked in great combination with each other. For example when creating a radio trailer we used both QuickTime audio to record the voice over then we imported the MP3 onto Final Cut Pro where we edited it together. We also used the Internet to download a copyright free soundtrack to go over the radio trailer.

Blade tool

• Using the blade tool is fairly easy as all you need to do is hover the cursor over your desired region and press the letter B on your keypad. And click on the desired place, this creates a cut in between the footage.

aDOBE AFTER EFFECTS

• Last year we encountered many issues with using After Effects, in the end we opted to make-do without it. However, this year we needed to challenge ourselves and use this software to create the title for the film. This software was very interesting to use because the layout of it is completely different to Final Cut and GarageBand. This technology only worked for the film production as we did not need any visual video for the radio trailer and film poster.
