Facebook Group

• One of the main ways I received feedback from my audience was setting up a Facebook group which allowed me to ask a sample of my target audience questions such as “What is the most important feature of a front cover” and “How much would you be willing to pay for a magazine”.

• This really helped when deciding what content to include on my magazine. For example I asked “What is the most important feature of a double paged spread” and the majority of responses was Images. This made me ensure that I included a great image on my double paged spread which I achieved. Without the feedback I received I would never of known to do this.

Audience Interviews

• As well as a Facebook group I also conducted interviews with my target audience in which I asked similar questions to what I did on my Facebook group but this allowed me to receive my in-depth qualitative answers.

• For example I asked ‘How long should articles be’ and one response was that “That there should be lots of small ones detailing different events”. This inspired me to do just that and one article on my website is a list detailing lots of upcoming events over the Christmas period

Peers & Lecturers

• Through out the full creation of my products and throughout the research stage I was receiving feedback from my peers and lecturers. They helped me with creative decisions and what I should and shouldn’t include.

• This feedback was very useful as it allowed me to create a relatable and likeable product with feedback on demand as I wouldn’t have to track down other target audience members as the majority of my peers are my target audience so it was great for me to use them for feedback.

Conclusion

Without the feedback that I received from my target audience, peers and lecturers I would not of been able to make the necessary changes needed to make my product a high standard. By having other evaluate my work it allowed for a unbiased fresh pair of eyes to be critical of my work an help me improve it to the highest standard.
