LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK, WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM

IT TO THE FULL PRODUCT?

Group:◦I feel that the people that I worked with in my film were extremely

helpful and I still feel that our group worked extremely well together◦There was only three of us within my group, which I felt was plenty of

people, however, I think that things could have been completed a lot faster with an extra member of our group

◦The group I worked with were the exact same people that I worked with during our Preliminary task, and so working with them on the main task was similar to the preliminary, and so we worked well in the sense that we were already comfortable around each other from the previous task, and so the process this time was a lot more relaxed.

Filming:◦I feel that we were able to get the majority of clips that we needed, however, we did film slightly last minute for the flashback scenes which we did not do for our preliminary task as we had filmed in plenty of time for the deadline◦I think we should have learnt more on how to manage our time, which we managed to do within the preliminary task, but found it more difficult during our progression and transition to the full product.

Planning:◦I feel as if we could have been more prepared planning-wise for this task as we didn’t make too many plans on our film and didn’t explore too much outside of the horror genre when deciding on the idea for our main task whereas, during the preliminary task, we explored multiple different ideas and genres of film before deciding on an office scene.

Editing:◦I feel that our editing skills have improved greatly from our preliminary task as we were able to include more complex techniques throughout that we didn’t know existed and were able to create a more professional product, when compared with some aspects of our preliminary task, especially the transition effects.

Cast:◦We included a different cast this time, apart from Jess because we thought it would be a good idea to see how using different people could create a similar effect to the preliminary task

◦However, when receiving feedback from our audience, they commented on how we should have included more characters to kidnap the victim. This contrasts to the Preliminary Task as the three characters that we used was enough to, during our main task, being encouraged to include multiple characters to portray a bad group of people.
