With the cover I have used a vibrant colour to help make my magazine look more appealing, it is also part of the house style. However I haven’t overused the vibrant colours, so it appeals to my target audience of young adults (15 – 25). I’ve used a sans serif font so that it appeals to the audience and an intriguing background to make the magazine stand out. I’ve featured the barcode and the issue in the bottom right so they’re easily spotted and easily accessible. I’ve also featured a flash that makes the price of the magazine stand out amongst the rest of the magazine. The footer also features a general outline of the issue and the contents of the magazine.

For the contents I’ve tried to get a variety of images which break up the text to make the contents look more appealing. I’ve also stuck with the house style by using colours like orange, black, yellow and white. I’ve also put an introduction to the magazine in the contents like many real magazines have like ‘Kerrang’ and ‘rock sound’. I’ve also included a header and footer which gives the reader a general view of certain aspects within the genre, e.g. festivals and artists.
