Evaluation number 2 How does your media product represent particular social groups? The two characters (protagonist left, antagonist right) are very different, even though they are of similar class and age. First of all, we have a race separation. The protagonist is a white, English male. The antagonist has a darker shade of skin, suggesting that he is from a more exotic country (Colombia). This automatically separates the two characters of their more ethnic backgrounds. As it goes for social class, the characters are similar in that case, but the antagonist, due to his large drug company, has only just been introduced to wealth, which is why he ends up to be the one in trouble. This is only evident in this opening sequence, as he has power initially but it gets reverse, showing he is weak minded and the power is only built up with no structure, like his wealth, therefore he will lose everything later on in life. It is also evident, as he is wearing flashy, expensive clothes, such as the Louis Vuitton belt. Stereotypical protagonist:

Evaluation number 2How does your media product represent particular social groups?

On the left is Daniel Craig, a very stereotypical protagonist. He shows dominance, confidence and power through his body language and facial expression. My protagonist shows very similar expressions in similar ways, with the smug, dominant look with confidence.

On the left is a stereotypical antagonist. He is holding a gun and dressed in all black, as most antagonists are, as black symbolises dark topics. My antagonist on the right is almost exactly dressed the same: the outer outfit is all black and he is holding a black gun.
