In what ways is the branding coherent?

• All the print products share the same colour scheme that are in keeping with the genre of Indie Alternative. Also, the same fonts are used throughout the print products. The creates a continuity between the print products.

• Also, the images I chose to used for my print products are similar and they link to the genre, which connects all the print products together. Also, some of the images were taken when we were filming so the images also link to the video because of this. Also, the shot of the mask (continuity between the costumes and props) on the digi-pak links to one of the themes in our music video which is superheroes.

• The use of the the band’s website and album details link the print products together.

Why is coherence important?

• Coherence is important when creating print products because the audience need to be able to tell all the print products are for the same artist. For example, if your advert had a red, white and blue colour scheme, but your digi-pak had a pink, blue and black colour scheme; then your audience wouldn’t be able to recognize the colours from the advert and so would not be able to find the CD’s digi-pak.
