• Listen to the following piece of music. Are the musicians proficient at their skill? Why or why not?

• The sound produced by that which is known as music; sound that consists of harmonies and melodies.

• Explain how the piece we just heard represents musicality. What are the specific features common to a piece of music?

Accuracy

• The ability to play notes or perform without error.

• Did the pianist demonstrate accuracy when playing this piece?

• Why is accuracy important to a performance?

Interpetation

• Is the performer empathetic to the piece of music…is her emotion poured into the piece? Do you think she played it as Beethoven expected it to be played? Why? (or) Why not?
