LOLEV (the Office for Low Emission Vehicles) provides end users up to £500 off the cost of purchasing & installing a home charging point. To claim the grant the charging point has to be fitted by an OLEV accredited installer. We can offer a 1-2 day course, to help our customers become accredited.

There is a socket version (lead provided with car and is attached to charging point each time) or tethered (lead is attached to charging point). The most popular option is socket 32A wall mounted.

WHO IS EV FOR?

The rapid charging points are the most expensive and can provide an 80% charge in around 30 minutes – 1 hour. They are usually found in ‘travel’ places where end users won’t be for long, such as motorway service stations. Like the commercial charging points there are access control and smart charging options and most come with 3 lead types to cover all cars. Rapid charging points are becoming more popular with big companies such as Shell and BP installing them on their petrol forecourts.
