TECHNICAL OFFICAL NOMINATION SYSTEM

TECHNICAL OFFICAL NOMINATION SYSTEM (TONS) 1

Introduction:

According to EWF Executive Board decision which was taken on 10 April 2015 in Tbilisi, Applications of Technical

Official Nomination are running through EWFCES. EWF Secretariat does not accept any application for technical official

nomination by fax, e-mail or post.

The new system is called Technical Official Nomination System (TONS).

Aim of the new system;

To provide database for technical official to EWF member federations.

How does it work?

TONS is internet based system and it is integrated with EWFCES. EWFCES has now two additional section for Technical

Official Nomination.

One of them is “EWF Technical Officials”,

Second is “Nominated TO”.

You can use EWF Technical Official section as national database for your international referees. In addition you can

use this section to nominate your referees to EWF Competitions.

When you click on EWF Technical Official, new screen appears as follows; You can see list of uploaded technical

officials.





Functions of menus on that screen;

Insert: adding new technical official to database. Edit: editing Technical Official’s name, surname, birth date, gender, passport no and photo. Delete: deleting technical official from database. Details and Experiences of Technical Official: adding some details and past experiences of Technical Official to database. Nominate as Technical Official: nominate Technical official to upcoming EWF Championships.

Firstly you upload your technical officials to TONS by click on Insert icon and please complete and edit details of

technical official by clicking Edit icon.

Please complete your experiences by clicking on Details and Experiences of Technical Official. This section is very

important for selection of technical official for EWF event.

When you reach the section, please select your past activities from pull down menu and fill event year, city and your

position in that activity then click on Save Changes button as follows;





Then when you click on Nominate as Technical Official icon, you can see following empty screen, the technical official

does not nominate for upcoming EWF championships yet.

Click on Add New then you can see candidate screen to nominate positions (you can select more than one position)

and you can see EWF event name.

In that screen please click on box to select position what you want;

JR: Jury, RF: Referee, TC: Technical Controller, CM: Chief Marshal, TK: Time Keeper, DR: Doctor on Duty.

When you finish choosing position click on Submit to save. Then it means you have nominated position/positions for

upcoming EWF events and now EWF Secretariat can see your nomination.

Your status look like as follows;

Column of Selected Position is empty and Confirm column says “waiting”.





Your federation can make nominations more than one international referee.

Your federation should check time to time on web page, the national federation logon EWFCES, new menu which is

called “Nomination TO” can be seen as follows;

After clicking on Nomination TO, new screen appears as follows; the screen says that your application already sent to

EWF but EWF Technical and Scientific Committee doesn’t make any decision about you. If Selected Position is empty,

it means there is no decision about you yet.

The national federation has to check time to time to learn about your status.

Whenever EWF Technical and Scientific Committee makes a decision about application, the screen looks like as

follows;

What does above screen says? The national federation has sent two application and one of them is not selected as

technical official because Confirm column says “not selected”, other referee is selected as referee (RF). And red color

Confirm? means that EWF waits your confirmation to participate the championships as selected Technical Official and

Confirm column says “waiting”, waiting your confirmation.





When you click on Confirm?, EWF can see your confirmation and the screen is changed as follows;

Confirm column says “Y” means you already confirmed to participate the upcoming EWF Championships as selected

technical officials and Action column has new button like “Send to Competition”,

When you arrange your flight ticket, please click on Send to Competition” button and fill your flights details as follows;

You don’t need to make room reservation, because EWF Secretariat sends list of selected technical officials to

organizing committee (OC) and OC makes double room reservation for you according to your arrival and departure

dates.
