Project Overview Student: Aiman Mallick Class: CADD The EuroVelo Stops competition was to create subtle and innovative designs that can be utilized as rest stop cabins located along the length of the EuroVelo 6 cycle path. The EuroVelo 6 cycle route traverses the width of Europe, running all the way from the Atlantic ocean to the Black Sea. The route passes along six rivers, runs over 3,500 km in total, and passes through 10 different countries, each with their own unique sights to experience The idea was to produce a design that fits within the design aesthetic of the European culture. The design should be kept simple in context and be constructed of good quality material. The design was to include safe, comfortable, and inviting lodgings, where cyclists can rest and refuel. In my design, I have created a building which would bring in as much of the nature inside the cabin. My version of the structure was a quick rest stop where cyclist can rest for short period of time, have a meal and carry on forward. The choice of using dark wood façade helps bring a warmth and welcoming feeling to the cabin. This design is intent to be self-sufficient with power and water supply system that work though a Rain Water Harvest System, and Solar Panels. Materials we chose to use where natural and eco friendly. Timber Wood being primally our main use of material based on it being fast growing. 1. 4. 5. 3. LEGEND 1. Front Face 2. Roof Structrure 3. The EuroVelo Stops competition was to create subtle and innovative designs that can be utilized as rest stop cabins located along the length of the EuroVelo 6 cycle path. The EuroVelo 6 cycle route traverses the width of Europe, running all the way from the Atlantic ocean to the Black Sea. The route passes along six rivers, runs over 3,500 km in total, and passes through 10 different countries, each with their own unique sights to experience

The idea was to produce a design that fits within the design aesthetic of the European culture.
