European stocks rebound
ASX Futures up 30 points

Gains in bank and technology shares helped send the Standard &
Poor’s 500 Index to a seven-week high, amid optimism on the
economy after data showed weakness in manufacturing may be easing
while crude oil showed further signs of stabilizing.
The S&P 500 climbed 1.1 percent to 1,951.75 at 4 p.m. in New York,
with the gauge erasing its February decline.
U.S. equities broke higher in the early afternoon after struggling for
direction throughout the morning amid conflicting signals abroad.
China’s stocks tumbled the most in a month as surging money-market
rates signalled tighter liquidity.
Lloyds jumped 14 percent after raising its dividend and introducing a
special payment. RSA Insurance Group Plc surged 9.8 percent after its
annual operating profit rose 43 percent. The Stoxx Europe 600 Index
added 2 percent at the close of trading.

The Australian share market closed flat after most of the banks
reversed losses. The benchmark index ASX200 added 6 points to
close at 4881 points.
The sectors were a mixed bag with Energy, Industrials and Information
Technology rising 1.1% while Staples declined 2.1%.
Blackmores doubled its profits for the first half of FY16. Ramsay
Healthcare upgraded its guidance after reporting a 17.5% rise in
interim profit. Seek released a robust half year result with revenue
growth of 22% while its underlying NPAT rose 9% to A$102.4 million.
Shares in Surfstitch plunged 20% after the company did not reaffirm its
full-year EBITDA guidance.
All the big banks except for CBA finished in the green yesterday, with
ANZ gaining 1%.
The ABS released business capital expenditure data for the fourth
quarter which showed 0.8% growth, against an expected 3% drop.

Shares of the toll operator Macquarie Atlas
Road Limited reached an all-time high after the
company released an upbeat result for FY15.
The toll operator reported NPAT of $85.1
million, achieved on the back of 3.5% revenue
growth.
Shares of the debt solutions and direct-lending
services firm FSA declined 7.6% yesterday after
the company released its financial results for
1H16, with profit after tax down 17%. However,
the company is positive about the outlook as it
aims to grow its loan pools to around $500
million.

Seek Ltd (ASX:SEK) has released its earnings results for the half-
year ending 31st December 2015. Attributable to gains in
international and domestic revenue, the job recruiting agency
reported upbeat financial results.
Over the period, the recruiting agency reported a 22% growth in
revenue to the PCP, to A$482million. Posting an A$86.7million rise
in revenue to the prior period. Excluding the successful sale of IDP
Education for A$330million in late 2015, the company reported.
Seek International revenue was the key contributor to the results,
growing 34% for the period, to A$298million. With Chinese
revenue expanding 19% (on a Constant Currency basis), to
A$166.3million. However, the appreciation of the AUD against the
Brazilian Real negatively affected Brazilian revenue, down 4% (on
a Constant Currency basis), to A$46.5million.
