Specific project objectives

To harmonize qualifications and competences in the tourist sector in the Programme and Partner Countries on the basis of learning outcomes, occupational standards and sectoral qualification framework (SQF).

To improve qualification of the teaching staff of PCIs, involved in developing and implementing new curriculum, based on OS and SQF

Plenary session was chired by Mrs. Marina Gunare Leader of the project and Elena

Vasileva Project coordinator

The following welcome addresses were presented:

Dr. Stanislav Buka

Rector of the Baltic International Academy in his salutation of participants has declared

official awareness of the BIA administration willingness to support project

implementation.

Dr. Inta Buka

Head of the Vice Rector for the International Relation in the importance of expected

project outcomes and declared constant monitoring of the future project activities.

Session 1

During the session one, which was chaired by Mrs. Elena Vasileva the following issues

were agreed:

1. Presentation of the EURDIQ Project Design. Discussion of possibilities of two more

than partners (Tourism and hospitality Moscow College № 48 and Ministers of Culture

(RF) in to the Consortium.

Session 2. Consortium Council.

First Consortium Council was conducted. Budget and Activity plan were discussed.

During the session 2 the following issues were discussed:

Methodology of OS and SQF (WP 1-3)

Chair – Elena Gorbashko, SPbSUE with contribution from Pat Gray, LMU and Prof.Wetzel, FHM

Workplan and Partners Agreement with Grantholder was discussed. Responsibilities according to the Workplan were shared (Table of shared responsibilities is attached).

Teaching staff of PCIs is trained by EU experts in innovative pedagogy, delivery methods and quality assurance procedures by December 2017 •3.1 The pilot curriculum is developed on the basis of OS and SQF and approved by Academic Councils of PCIs and recognized by National Ministries of Education of RU and KG by April 2017 •3.2 Students are recruited to the new program at each PCI by August 2017 •4.1 Project internal Quality Control Work Group is established and approved by EurDiQ Council by November 2015 •5. Dissemination strategy and activity plan are developed by the WG and approved by the EurDiQ Council by January 2016 •6.1 A decision making organ, EurDiQ Council, is appointed at the project induction meeting by November 2015 •6.2 Contact persons (administrators) are appointed at each partner institution and approved by EurDiQ Council by November 2015
