THEAUTHORIZED DRIVERS• Driver’s license: some countries accept the Canadian driver'slicense. However, most countries will require an international dri-ver's license (IDL), which is used as a legal identification documentand in which information relating to the Canadian driver's license istranslated into 11 foreign languages. The IDL is used as a supple-ment to the Canadian driver's license and you can obtain it beforeyour departure in any CAA service center in your area.

• The Europcar contract signer, the main driver, must be atleast 21 years old and detain a valid driver’s license held for atleast one year.

• Between the ages of 21 and 25, additional insurance ismanda-tory and payable upon delivery of the vehicle.

• You must generally pay an additional insurance for each addi-tional driver on the contract. The rate depends on the driver’sage (at least 21), the term of the contract, the type of the vehicleand the rental location.These additional drivers must detain a validdriver’s license that has been held for at least 1 year old.

Warning: in some countries, an age limit is imposed on seniors.

• To be able to rent a car from , you must be at least 21years old, and detain a legal and valid driver’s license, held for atleast 1 year.

• At each rental, you must provide a personal identification docu-ment, a drivers’ license (that has been valid for at least one year),a credit card in the driver's name (except for Maestro,Aurore andElectron), and a proof of residence dating from the past twomonths.

• To take possession of your vehicle at the agency, you must haveyour driver’s license, personal identification (or any documentproving your identity, a personal address and a telephonenumber).

• The main driver rents the car on his behalf. For this reason,he will pay for his rental with his own credit card. Europcar givesyou the possibility to register several drivers.You must specify theadditional drivers and pay the surcharge at your rental agencybefore taking possession of the vehicle.

• The car is delivered to you with a full tank of gas, please fill it upbefore returning the vehicle. If you do not, you will be charged therental agency's price plus service fees.

• Remember that in the event of a breakdown or of an accident, youmay contact Europcar Assistance 24/7 toll free, at 0 800 35 4000 (No.Vert) in France or at 33 1 41 85 84 95 from abroad.

• Please observe the Traffic regulations. You must fully assumeany possible sanctions (fines, loss of points) that may occur duringthe period that you detain the rented vehicle.

Europ Auto Holidaysalso informs you of the regulations applied. Europ Auto Holidaysoffers you two Europcar contracts with unlimited mileage included:

(*) The Collision Damages (CDW) and Theft (THW) warranties must then be covered by your credit card.

Most of the time, these contracts have a deductible, whose amountvaries according to the delivery country and the category of the ren-ted car. Some countries offer the total suppression of this deductiblein consideration of an additional amount, payable in full on the spot.Upon delivery, you must pay additional fees:• airport and/or first station tax, road tax or other ecologicaltaxes…

• winter equipment when mandatory, any accessory requested atreservation, such as a child seat, a roof basket carrier…

An additional premium, payable on the spot, may also be required tolift geographical restrictions that may apply to the car categoryand the countries visited.

*Credit cardIt is important to check the insurance and warranty cover-age of your credit card (generally Gold or Platinum) before opt-ing for the 'Basic' contract instead of 'Inclusive'. In this case, toinsure your rented car, you must:• Use an accepted and valid card,• Begin and complete the whole rental transaction using thesame card,• Only the cardholder may rent the vehicle and take posses-sion of it (he must personnaly sign the contract),• Formally refuse the insurance offered by the rental agency.

The protection offered by your credit card is generally limited to:• one single vehicle rental at a time,• a 30 day period,with no renewal.

Caution, check whether your credit card:• imposes a deductible amount,• limits any warranty amount,• properly covers other insurance, such as Collision Damages(CDW),Theft (THW), Fire,• Luggage and Personal effects (SPAI),Transported Persons (PAI)…• and also covers the vehicle category that you chose.

UPON RETURN

Since the car was delivered to you with a full tank of gas, please fillit up before returning it. Any difference will be billed to you at theprices posted by the Europcar center, including service charges.

EuropAuto Holidays recommends that before you leave,youexamine the car for any damage and report to the centeragent if any.

Caution: you must return the car keys you received at delivery. Ifyou fail to do so, you will be billed by Europcar for their loss orbreakage.

You must return your vehicle at a Europcar center (the one stipu-lated in your contract or the one chosen in case of a change in thereturn location). If you fail to do so, Europcar will bill you for thesearch costs, parking costs, car removal costs, ...

During your trip:

• You may change the return location.

• You may extend your contract; Europcar may elect to give you a car inan equivalent category in case the same type of car is not available.

In this case, you must advise the Europcar agency that producedthe contract, i.e. the station where you took delivery of the car.

EUROPCARCENTERS

There are over 4,000 centers in 170 countries throughoutthe world.Their excellent location in airports, train stations,or downtown areas will make your steps easier.

PROCEDURESTO OBSERVE

Before your departure, do not forget the Prepaid Voucher thatEurop Auto Holidays gave you.

You will be required to produce proof that your rental has been paidfor.

Only the contract holder (the main driver rents the car in hisname) may take delivery of the vehicle.You must observe thedelivery and return times stipulated in your contract to avoidbeing billed directly by Europcar for an additional day. Billing is basedon undividable 24-hour periods.

UPON DELIVERY

Upon presenting your Voucher, a driver's permit that has been validfor at least 1 year, personal identification (or any other document thatproves your identity), and proof of residence, Europcar's agents atthe delivery center will give you the car (category you chose) docu-ments and keys.

Europ Auto Holidays recommends that you examine thevehicle before you leave, to note any damage, and to reportto the Europcar agent if any.

The vehicle is delivered to you with a full tank of fuel.

All the formalities have been handled by Europ Auto Holidaysbefore you leave.You will only need to pay for mandatory fees, suchas First Station, Daily Tax ...or optional fees, such as an additional dri-ver, accessories requested (i.e., child seat), the premiums for liftingeventual geographic restrictions, and any other insurance youmay decide to buy on the spot.

Delivery & Return

6 DELIVERY & RETURN

Upon the delivery of your Europcar rental vehicle, the insuranceand contractual warranty conditions and limitations are presented toyou in the documentation placed at your disposal on the spot.Theyvary according to the regulations in force in each country. All thevehicles are covered for Legal liability. By choosing the 'Inclusive'contract, you are also covered for Collision Damages (CDW)and Theft (THW).

You can also buy additional insurance offered in most of the agen-cies, payable at destination.The benefits of the warranties below aresubject to a certain number of conditions that appear in the Generalterms of rental of each country and to which you must refer:

Transported Persons Insurance (PAI)

This coverage is particularly recommended for the driver, who is notcovered as a third party in the event of an accident that he may havecaused.

Luggage and Personal effects (SPAI)

If you have bought the Super PAI insurance, it includes PAI coverage.

Broken windows,Tires (WWI)

This additional insurance covers windows that are broken in eventsother than a vehicle accident and the tires in the event of punctureunder normal use.TheWWI does not cover punctures due to acts ofvandalism.

Fire

Vehicle fire is covered by the Collision Damages (CDW) insurance,unless the customer is responsible for it.

Before buying these additional insurances, Europ Auto Holidaysrecommends that you properly check the insurance and war-ranty coverage of your credit card (generally Gold or Platinum).Europ Auto Holidays also informs you of the regulations applied.

The existence of all of the insurances identified above ensures thatyou will have peace of mind. However, they do not free you fromyour obligation to ensure than any possible accident or damage isavoided and that its consequences are reduced to a minimum.EuropAuto Holidays informs you of the regulations to observe.

Aboutinsurance

Throughout the term of your rental, you benefit, with no extracharge (*), from Road call and Assistance service related to theuse of the vehicle.

Europcar Assistance is available 24/7: toll-free call in France (ex-cept from a cellular phone) using the green number 0 800 35 40 00or the toll number +33 1 49 93 72 42.

To benefit from the warranties of this service, you must contactthem first. If you take initiatives or incur expenses, no refund maybe made to you without prior agreement.The only exception is forroad call or towing fees in case of a highway breakdown.

This service can be of invaluable help in case of trouble:• Breakdown,• Accident,• Attempted theft or robbery, …

TheAssistance will cover, according to the circumstances:

• Road call and towing of the vehicle if it cannot be repaired on thespot,

• Vehicle replacement,• Transfer to the agency delivering the replacement vehicle.

Medical assistance to persons:

In the event of personal injury, the assistance will provide one or se-veral of the following services:

• Transfer of the wounded people to the hospitalization location,according to their medical needs and the decisions made by theservice’s doctors,

• Repatriation of deceased persons.

Warning: Europ Auto Vacances reminds you not to forget your Travelinsurance. The benefits of this “Medical assistance to persons” is only acomplement to your own Travel Insurance.

(*) The following are excluded from the warranty: repairs due to customersusing the wrong fuel, replacement of the rented vehicle keys due to theirloss or breakage, as well as tire punctures and/or deterioration.

• Number of passengers in the vehicleThe vehicle’s registration certificate indicates the maximum num-ber of people authorized. For insurance and legal liability purpos-es, you must comply to it.Caution: whatever their age, children are always counted as taking upa whole seat.

• Traffic regulationsRegulations differ from one country to another and you mustobserve them.Violations can result in hefty fines.You are respon-sible for obtaining the necessary information before your depar-ture.

• Regarding damages to the vehicleUse the vehicle in accordance with its vocation and take all pre-cautions to prevent any damage. In this context, Europ AutoHolidays recommends that you always park in places where thevehicle is not likely to be damaged by normal traffic

• Regarding vehicle theftUse all the means to close, lock and protect the vehicle, when youleave it, and generally never to put the vehicle in an obviously riskysituation.On this subject, EuropAuto Holidays recommends that, when-ever possible, you choose a parking place that offers maximumsafety (for example, use a quarded car park with, choose a lightedplace during night parking, never leave valuable items in plain sightin the vehicle, always take all vehicle documents and keys withyou…).
