When quality sees the light A well-finished helmet, with a technical extra-feature that is both useful and functional : the Lazer fotochromic visor. There is also a bluetooth communication system available,  but it can be improved in matters of comfort and efficiency. First, there was the internal sunvisor, which was the best alternative to sunglasses. But now, it’s time for some new visors that have the capacity to darken automatically. After the electrochromatic visor [sic], Lazer is putting a ph otochromic visor on the market. This new visor can be fitted on each fiber helmet produced by the Belgian company and is also factory-fitted on the Monaco. The Lumino visor has been conceived to darken from a clear visor to a dark state, comparable to an 80% tinted visor. It darkens according to the intensity of the UV light. When exposed to the sunlight, half of the visor is tinted after 15 seconds, and the whole visor is fully darkened after 45 seconds. It works really well and turns out to be a real relief for the eyes, even if the operational speed cannot match the immediate variations of light – the best example being when you enter a tunnel. The comfort provided is than worth the price, as well as for the remarked quality of the Fiber D1, the helmet we used to test this visor. A comfortable helmet, well adapted morphologically, with just a little disappointment regarding the space allowed to the ears, which could be a little bit bigger. A nice helmet anyway. The air intakes are efficient and the visor fitting kit is very good. The bluetooth Ringo system, with it’s reduced size and  price is enough for the b asic communication needs, but it is not stereophonic, its working autonomy is reduced and it is taking a little more of the ear c omfort away.

When quality sees the light

A well-finished helmet, with a technical extra-feature that is both useful and functional :the Lazer fotochromic visor. There is also a bluetooth communication system available,

but it can be improved in matters of comfort and efficiency.

First, there was the internal sunvisor, which was the best alternative to sunglasses. But

now, it’s time for some new visors that have the capacity to darken automatically. After

the electrochromatic visor [sic], Lazer is putting a photochromic visor on the market. This new visor can be fitted on each fiber helmet produced by the Belgian company and

is also factory-fitted on the Monaco. The Lumino visor has been conceived to darken

from a clear visor to a dark state, comparable to an 80% tinted visor. It darkens according

to the intensity of the UV light. When exposed to the sunlight, half of the visor is tintedafter 15 seconds, and the whole visor is fully darkened after 45 seconds. It works really

well and turns out to be a real relief for the eyes, even if the operational speed cannot

match the immediate variations of light – the best example being when you enter a

tunnel. The comfort provided is than worth the price, as well as for the remarked qualityof the Fiber D1, the helmet we used to test this visor. A comfortable helmet, well adapted

morphologically, with just a little disappointment regarding the space allowed to the ears, which could be a little bit bigger. A nice helmet anyway. The air intakes are efficient and

the visor fitting kit is very good. The bluetooth Ringo system, with it’s reduced size and

price is enough for the basic communication needs, but it is not stereophonic, its working

autonomy is reduced and it is taking a little more of the ear comfort away.
