SPRG helped manage media relations for WorldVentures prior to the opening of their Malaysia o�ce. Among SPRG’s responsibilities included helping de�ect criticisms regarding the MLM (multi-level marketing) industry; facilitating pre-event communications between the client and the media; and drafting the minister’s speech and organising a media conference with the minister after the launch event. Outcomes from this event included positive coverage not only from the print media, but also from national radio stations and TV networks which is a rarity for such occasions.

After LeEco became the largest shareholder of Coolpad Group (HKEX: 2369), a media conference and investor presentation were held for the Vice Chairman and new Executive Directors of Coolpad to explain the company’s plans for the future, including its coopera-tive ties with LeEco.

DBS Asian Insights 2016 is a three-month campaign aimed at raising awareness of the DBS brand, pro�le its experts and engage followers through bite-sized content uploaded on social media platforms. SPRG took the lead by crafting social media posts covering key topics shared by thought leaders, such as the 15th President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino. The campaign’s o�cial hashtag (#asiatomorrow) was trended on Twitter for the entirety of the conference. In addition, its Facebook account garnered over 380,000 social engagements, driven by live video streams and expert talks conducted during the campaign period.

SPRG Begins New Chapter – Consolidates Public Affairs and Government Relations Services
SPRG has consolidated its public a�airs and government relations services by welcoming AsiaNet Communications Limited (“Asianet”) to the Group. Although Asianet will now be wholly owned by SPRG, founder Heidi Cheng will continue to play a central role by managing the company’s professional team.
The Young Entrepreneur Development Council, organiser of the School-Company-Parent programme, awarded SPRG together with NTHYK Tai Po District Secondary School – its partner school – with the Best-Performance of School-Company-Partnership trophy.

As the largest public relations consultancy in Hong Kong, SPRG feels compelled to nurture the next generation of PR professionals. This summer, SPRG duly hired 42 interns, comprising students from post-secondary institutions and universities.
Achieving Knowledge LeadershipAt the Holmes Report 2016 Asia-Paci�c In2 innovation Summit, Richard spoke on “How PR Professionals Can Serve the Community”. He believes PR practitioners are in ideal positions to bring together di�erent partners and by leveraging the partners’ unique strengths help address the needs of local communities.
Richard spoke with over 100 Hong Kong Baptist University Integrated Communication Management students at their �rst “Boss Talk” seminar of the year, sharing about career development in the PR industry.
Shufen Tan, General Manager of SPRG Shanghai, was among the respected speakers who participated in the “Are Clicks Crushing Bricks? Understanding Online to O�ine Retail Strategies” seminar in Melbourne.
The third annual PUMA Night Run in Malaysia, which is also the biggest PUMA Night Run in South East Asia, attracted a record 10,000 runners, including participants hailing from Singapore. SPRG arranged a pre-run training session for the media, managed social media communications with participants and succesfully lobbied for over 80 members of the media to participate in the run.

Organised by The Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan, the Stomach Protection campaign aims to raise public awareness of gastric cancer, including the importance of undergoing regular health checks. Furthermore, the organiser emphasised the need to maintain a positive attitude if one is diagnosed or su�ers from the disease.

China Animation (HKEX: 1566) and its three strategic partners announced the company’s entry into the VR entertainment market in Hong Kong and Macau via the opening of around 100 game locations in the two cities in the coming year. Friends from the media were invited to attend the signing ceremony, and also to experience China Animation’s eight new VR games during an exclusive preview provided at the company’s booth at the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong 2016 fair.

Micro Angel Coalition complex in Zibo was jointly established by the Zibo Municipal People's Govern-ment and China Science & Merchants Investment Management Group. The opening ceremony, titled “Innovative Economy of the Peninsula”, was conducted and welcomed all major media. Hundreds of media members from across the nation have subsequently been providing regular coverage of the complex.

Edenred recently joined Carrefour Taiwan in launching Carrefour Ticket Xpress, which is the �rst digital voucher service of Carrefour group worldwide.
