The Most Holy Trinity 27th May 2018
THIS WEEK IN THE PARISH
A few words from our Pastor:-
We are back in Ordinary Time within the Church’s calendar of worship. Last Sunday we concluded the Easter Season with Pentecost where we recall the gift of the Spirit to the Church. This Sunday, Trinity Sunday, we recall the fact that the Father, Son, and the Spirit are equal but different persons in God. Each is fully and uniquely God who is one. Importantly, this is a revealed mystery. It transcends and enlightens our reason. Like love itself, the Trinity is a mystery that is first understood in practice -in prayer. Just as a relationship withers into formalities if there is no shared dialogue, our Christian faith withers without this interaction with God in prayer. As it is, the more we pray in Jesus’ name and in the power of the Holy Spirit, the clearer our vision of the Father becomes. God Bless
Those who are ill. Clovis Amando, Daphne Bowles, Deborah Browne, Arnie Cavanagh, Marnie Essery, Agnieszka Lassak, Ursula Lowe, Edvige Peluso, Ben Perri, Lawrence Peterson, Marguerite Pigeau, Evelyn Vincent, and Charlotte Zalanfy.
